When I Started:
Nov, 2007
How I Started:
I am tired of my weight controlling me. I have been up and down the roller coaster twice. I Currently weight 270lb. I want to get in shape and stay in shape. I am learning to eat right and looking to regain my energy and stamina.
Why I Love It:
It makes me feel great! (Even if I am not as esthetically pleasing as a Vogue model yet!)
How I Stay Motivated:
Reading everyone's transformation stories and see the pictures motivates me to work harder!
BB Accomplishments:
The first time I had to seriously diet I was trying to get into the Army. Then I weighed 235lbs at my heaviest. I dropped down to 180lbs in about 4 months. I did it the wrong way and the weight loss did not stay. Since then I gained all the weight back and had a baby to boot. I know I can do it because I have done it before. This time I just want to make the life style change permanent instead of instant dieting!

What do you think about people who "grunt" loudly while working out? Do you do it?
I think vocalization helps power lifters focus but it definately intimidates all the average folks trying to drop a few pounds.

Ok so last week I quit my part time job at the bank. I did not really realize how stressed I was while I was working there. I feel amazing right now! It is a little scary because I do not have a plan and the economy sucks but I know it will be ok. I just have to be true to myself and not try to...

Whenever I can as much as I can depending on how much time I have.

Mostly, I do daily cardio for 20-45 minutes daily and the 30 minute circuit whenever I can.

Then I throw in some machines not covered in the circuit like delts/flys, hip adductors and abductors, back extentions and...

Keep doing cardio, Diana! I loose 45 pounds (from 210 to 165) just doing cardio and then I was eating pretty bad. Since I began to lift weights I've gained 13 pounds (178 lbs now) but Im losing and losing inches and body fat ... Good luck with the next 5 lbs and don't give up!

Great job!! Training is going ok. I have hit a plateau, so I changed my routine and my diet again. I need to up the cardio for a couple of weeks and start lifting heavier to see if that helps. Hope you have a great week!!

I am happy to add and honored to have you as my friend. Something that always helped me was remembering to: “Create and indelibly stamp in your mind a mental picture of yourself achieving your goal. Hold onto this picture tenaciously. Try never to permit it to fade. Visualize it often. Your mind will seek to develop this picture.” If there is anything that my wife or I can do to assist you feel free to give us a yell. We would like nothing better than to see you succeed.

Wanting to lose weight and then finding the right program to follow to make it happen is difficult. I recommend the 12-week Body for Life program. I was able to lose over 50 lb’s, going from 36 to 10% bodyfat and my wife (bodyspace: judimax) went from a size 12/14 to a 4/6 also in only 12 weeks. You may be amazed at the changes your body will make and how soon they occur. Let us know if you wish more info.
