How I Started:
I moved to an apartment complex that had a little weight room with Universal equipment. My sister visited me and encouraged me to give it a try. I was a skinny 25 year old, but I kept it up and in a couple of weeks I was reaching around my back and felt some lats where I'd never felt them before. I was hooked!
Why I Love It:
I have loved the results I've gotten over the years. I went from 155 lbs. to 195 at my peak of muscularity, averaging 180-185. It has also kept me young and most people guess me about 10 years younger than my true age.
How I Stay Motivated:
This has become a problem area in the last couple of years. I never used to have trouble being motivated because I loved it so much, I actually felt guilty for going to the gym.

This is not the worst I ever got. I've lost about 15 pounds in this pic... down to 186 from 201. Compare to my main pic, 2.5 years ago when I was a muscular 187.
I'm up to 192 here. In two months I've gained 2.25" on my chest, 1.25" on my arms, and lost 1.75" in my waist.
I want to regain lost lean mass (approx. 10 lbs.) and shed body fat (10-15 lbs.).
Goal (Long):
I want to get back to the ripped body I had two years ago, then improve on that. I had been working out for 20 years and was accustomed to just always being in great shape. Then a series of setbacks caused me to start losing lean mass slowly at first. Then last year I gained 30 pounds and five inches on my waist in 7 months time. 18 of those pounds and 3 of those inches came from September to November. I was freaking out. I've since managed to lose a couple of inches and about 10 pounds. But I still look frumpy and "old" and I need to get back into my accustomed shape.
Had an awesome leg and ass workout today. It's a short workout cuz I put my calves on shoulder day. I did sissy smith squats and the gym has this butt blaster that may actually DO something for your glutes... you just have to set it up right... ya see I inherited my father's flat ass... i...
