When I Started:
Nov, 1991
How I Started:
My best friend to this day Mike talked me into going into the high school weight room. When I was in high school we had a lot of very succesful powerlifting teams so it was a powerlifting orientated weight room. Not pretty and not big but it was all you would need.
Why I Love It:
When I first started training I weighed only 185 flabby pounds and by the end of the year I was 230 muscular pounds. It feels great to have the power to change your body type and to feel strong.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have never felt like I was in great shape and I have always wanted that cut ripeed six pack look so when I was younger that was my motivation but now that I am older my motivation is to be healthy for my new born son.

What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
Not taking the time to learn proper lifting form or ignoring what proper form is from either too much enthusiam or too much ego. Using way too much weight for the movement.
