When I Started:
Jul, 1990
How I Started:
Lifting weights for other sport I was into at the time.
Why I Love It:
Because it gives me tools to better myself physically and mentally. Because it teaches us discipline and dedication we can apply in and out the gym. Because it builds strength and confidence. Because it makes us strive toward achieving small goals and by doing so we get ourselves closer to ultimate goal we didn’t even materialize in our mind yet.
How I Stay Motivated:
I keep track of my progress. Look at before pictures. Remember countless hours dieting and working out.
Also, once I was doing cardio on treadmill overlooking swimming pool downstairs. One thing caught my eye. There was this 14-15y/o little guy, having some terrible crippling disease, not being able to move much. He had floating thing around his neck and just being in there seemed like Herculean effort for him considering his condition. But he was trying SOOO hard, following instructions his trainer was giving him all while having this HUGE smile on his face!!!
Then and there I decided I will not complain about anything anymore. If he was doing it, rest of us blessed enough not to have to fight through everyday obstacles the way he had to, we have no right of complaining and whining. We just have to suck it up and do it!!
That’s the bottom line and motivation like no other!!!
BB Accomplishments:
Being better than I was the day before, physically and mentally.
