When I Started:
Sep, 2009
How I Started:
I have always had a weight problem and having kids didn't help the matter either. I'd tried every fad diet under the sun, and after many failed attempts, I decided to investigate why countless diets didn't work! To my then great surprise (duh), I found out that those diets didn't work because (1) I didn't workout enough (2) Those diets lacked the nutrition that my body so needed for energy! What a great revelation! My heaviest weight was in 1992, after the birth of my first child. Weighing in a an astounding 272 Lbs. and fluctuating between 272 and 235 Lbs. I had my second child in 2000 where I shot up to 265 Lbs.! Devistated...I decided it was a do or die situation! Either get my weight down permanently and get back to good health or die like my father did of heart disease in his early 40's. Good health and weight loss sounded good to me! So to sum it up after years of the yo-yo diets, the wrong foods and no real goals, I decided that I would suck up any humiliation that came my way for the sake of gaining my life back! I joined a gym and got going. Read books on nutrition and online sites like E-diets helped too. I learned what and what not to put into my body. Cardio and weight training are an everyday part of my life!
Why I Love It:
My need for working out is like my need for my car! "If I can't drive my car, I can't get to work"! Likewise, "If I can't work out my body will not function properly...not at it's full potential. Although cardio is very important, I love to weight train! It gives me that extra "umph" to get through my workouts. Seeing the results that weight training gives my body makes me work that much harder to attain my goals! "I just love it"!
How I Stay Motivated:
I try looking at the long term not just the end results. Long term means that more than likely the results will last, where the end means...you've given up! Looking at the before pic is enough to stay motivated for the long term!
I took this pic to really take a good look at myself. Pics tell 1000 words. I hadn't started a regimine at this point yet but I decided to use this pic as motivation to NOT QUIT!
Slow progression but like I said; IT WILL HAPPEN!!!!
I'M BACK!!!! After a long an unfortunate hibernation, but I'm motivated and more than ready to get back on track again. IT WILL HAPPEN!!!!
Goal (Long):
Alright guys and gals, here I go again, trying to accomplish my goals and create the incredible body that I've for so long dreamed about. I know it's not impossible and that I can do it. How many of us have set out to lose weight, eat right, build muscle etc...and somewhere between reality and your weight loss dreams, your life issues took presidence over your unattained goals?
Well that's what happened with me but enough is enough. I have decided that this time my dreams will become a reality and some of life's issues may just have to wait!!!! I'm tired of looking and feeling average. This time I want to look, feel and be extraordinary!!!! Tomorrow 09/30/09, I begin a new adventure, transforming my new body.

Don't let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use.
