How I Started:
I had always been interested and lifted in high school. Then college and the Navy got in the way. Let's just say lifting on a boat is interesting at best. I finally got back to the gym consistently, but didn't take the diet seriously. Finally in June 2008, I took a real good look at myself and decided to change everything up...diet, workout, everything.
Why I Love It:
Getting up at 4:30am to hit the gym before work is a chore, but it's worth it. It gets me through the day. Plus the burn and the pump from a great workout is AWESOME!
How I Stay Motivated:
There are several things...comments from my wife, my secretary at work, my friends, the progress pictures (the initial pic really got me motivated), and seeing other people's progress at the gym and on this site keeps me going.

What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
Do some research. Don't just go to the gym and learn as you go. Get a personal trainer if you want. But don't just look in one spot for all your info, either.

What do you think about people who "grunt" loudly while working out? Do you do it?
hey there!! The Gator bowl was awesome!! True heart they have! How are you? How are the workouts? Not much here, just tryin to really focus and get back into it. Its so hard when its cold outside and you wanna stay home and eat...but gotta fight the urge!
