The first time I really got into weight lifting when I was deployed to Bosnia back in 1995. Being in the Army, moving and trainng all the time, working out is always a off and on thing.
Why I Love It:
Love to stay in shape, feels great when people tell you how good you look.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have two little ones at home and I want to be able to keep up with them when they get older.

BB Accomplishments:
After breaking the bone in my foot running one morning, it took a while to get back in shape. Finding out my back was messed up(partial slipped disk(middle of my back), Lower back has = partial fusion due to bone lose, bone thinning. Muscle spasms, conjoined nerve roots ... and mild case of Scoliosis)really bad didn't help. I had to find new ways to get in shape, which was a lot of trial and error, but I stuck in there. Since I got to Iraq for my second tour, (1 AUG 07) I have dropped to 230lbs and Dropped 5% BF (22%) and Benched 300 lbs

Motivation is the key to success in anything you do, once you lose that motivation you lose the will to succeed.
Need to work on losing Bodyfat and weight for the Army ... no more then 211 lbs they say!
Goal (Long):
Work on getting in great shape and lose some BF% and droppin some weight too. With my back problems any added weight(muscle or fat) puts a lot of pressure on my spine.
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 25 lb

Have you ever had a lifting injury?
Yes
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
was lifting to much to fast ... ended up getting golfer's elbow (the other side of tennis elbow). Had to back off of lifting heavy, taken Animal Flex helped. Also started to use a elbow sleeve when working out.was lifting to much to fast ... ended up getting golfer's elbow (the other side of tennis elbow). Well today is my Birthday ... on the cool side, two of my good friends have the same birthday too ... even cooler ... Billy Bob Thornton as well .... BUT in sad news President Obama has the same birthday too. I know I know ... I'm trying to keep the bad news from completely ruining...
I try to change up my workouts between Free weights and Machines each week. I knock out at least (3 exercises) 3-4 sets, 10 reps per body part. When it comes to stuff like Chest workouts, you use your triceps too, so I usally knock out two exercises just for triceps (cable pushdowns, and...
I am sorry that I haven't been staying in touch and providing pics or stats. But I am moving to new job and moving to new home. Once I get settled in I will update everything. Keep up the good fight and have a awesome weekend. Jeffferson
Congrats on the PT test. I just got back from a week in the field, pouring down rain and cold, but of course it was fun. Learned alot of new TTPs, **** is changing constantly anymore.
Thanks for the motivation... it made the difference..I finished my course with a over-all weight loss down to 240lbs. Now I just have to work on the body fat dropping. I want to get to 12%, going fo the gold now and deicating some serious time to it too. Take care and Semper Fi!
I completely understand bud. Like I said in my profile, I'm the ultimate self-admitted wimp. Keep up the fight, you'll work through it. If not, I'll come down there and kick your ass until you do. (If you don't kick mine first LOL)
I wanted to let you know that this week is already kicking and I am making the gym bow to my will. The cardio sessions are off the hook and the weight training is going really good too. Thank you for the additional motivation in my desire to reach my goal (Sept 30, Class is over) Have a great week and God Bless - Jefferson
Alright!!!!l Lets kick the stuff out of todays expectations in both the gym and dcardio sessions. I got track (3miles/Speed work/and dynamic exercises this morning and then for the gym tonight I got legs and abs. Then finish it off with some light cardio (45 minutes). Lets do it and get pumped.
You know...today was an awesome day to workout and the cause for this is that the heart was pumping which made blood enter the veins and cause them to grow...I mean this, because, with motivational people like yourself, you makes me stronger in the sense that with dedication and desire..I can accomplish anything that is in front of me. Thanks and keep up the awesome work.
Hey..Hey..updated the pics but damn things came in sideways...Better one next weekend...I am really going to hit the cardio and gym this week and see waht happens, two in half more weeks till course is over and I want to shred the hell out of things. Really watching the diet and what I out into myself..have a great week and take care...Motivate and Semper Fidelis!
No man, I meant to say that I have been doing 2 a days with cardio. I am seeing a change in the structure of my body, but I am still a little concerned about my mid section. I am starting to feel the abs but the fat is sxtill hiding them. A little mind game I know but the hurdle seems a little high. Have a great weekend.
I gotcha there brother, I started to do the same thing. I mean get in and get out of the gym. No more super sets of a lot of different exercises, jus thte basics and compound exercises. Plus my cardio still twice a week. I am also doing the Power 90 series now. So the trimming down should be really good now. Will keep ya updated.
