I was fed up with being fat and decided that enough was enough. I decided to try bodybuilding since starvation didn't seem to work. I asked a good friend of mine for help and he encouraged me every day to keep at it. Now it's a way of life.
Why I Love It:
It brightens my mood, and gives me a goal in life to work towards.
How I Stay Motivated:
I read alot especially on bodybuilding.com. The transformations keep me believing.

Progress Pictures

This is when I first started lifting weights and use pictures instead of the scale to measure my progress.
I just thought that I would drop you a line to tell you that my wife, and your friend (bodyspace: judimax) is having a birthday on Saturday and is turning 48. I think she looks fantastic for not only 48 but for any age, but then again I am biased. If you get a chance she would be surprised (and love it) if you would drop by and wish her a Happy Birthday.
Hey Deb,
That picture was taken in Toronto, Ontario - down by lake ontario.
Sorry i can't help you out with location. I do hope you have a great trip there :)
Can you bring a bike with you?
It's always fun kickin' around the playground shootin' hoops too!
Well the new workout is great. I had been at a weight plateau for over 3 months but I started the 15 rep workout and yes I added some interval cardio (25 min every second day) and I've started dropping lbs. They (who ever "they" are) say you should change your routine every so often so that your body doesn't get used to the same thing. Love to help is you need more.
I am glad that you are using pictures and measurements to judge your progress and not that abominable scale. You are making great progress and I look forward to watching your continuing transformation.
Thank you for your reply. I wish you all the best with your Body for Life workouts and look forward to seeing your progress. If you push yourself with the BFL you will be amazed at the changes and the speed at which they can occur. They have designed a good weight training program as well as cardio and their nutrition recommendations seem to work well also.
Hi Deb: I wish you much success in achieving your goal. My wife who you can visit at bodyspace judimax made an incredible transformation as did I using a variation of the Body for Life and if there is anything that we can do to assist you feel free to give us a yell. I look forward to seeing your progress.
