When I Started:
May, 2008
How I Started:
I grew up in a very athletic family but never took on the role of a true athlete. I played sports and I took weight training in high school and college but always goofed off and never took it very seriously. I decided that I wanted to drastically change the way I looked. I was tired of looking like everyone else and I was ready for a change. That is where working out has come into play. I love working out and living a healthy lifestyle. I am about to start grad school and I want to stay focused and remain healthy. I hope that I can maintain my routine and stay motivated.
Why I Love It:
I love how everything that is accomplished through working out is by your own doing. I love the results and I love the healthy lifestyle. I also can't help but love the feeling of accomplishment every time I walk out of the gym.
How I Stay Motivated:
I love routines, schedules, and structure. Since starting my work out routine I don't want to ever stop it. I am a very busy person but I love the surge of adrenaline working out gives me.
Philippians 4:13- I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need.
BB Accomplishments:
Gaining 17 lbs of muscle since May 1st.
May 1st I weighed 195lbs
August 1st I weighed 212 lbs
I have always wanted a body that I could be really proud of.I love being healthy and I want to be the best that I can be physically. I have already gained 15 pounds of muscle this summer and I want to continue working hard. I have seen some changes in my body but I feel like it is only the beginning. I am not looking to quit and I am excited to see how much I can transform my body.
thanks for the rating and comment, much appreciated. Believe it or not I never do pull ups or deadlifts for back. Occasionally straight leg deads for hams but that's it...The hammer strength row machine and high pull down also hammer strength was and still are the staples of my back training...weird eh?
You've made some great progress from where you started and especially over the last few months. It looks like you've figured out what to do to get your body to grow and lose fat! Keep up the great work!
Ha, yeah started a new 6 eek cut phase that we go through once every four months or so...perfect timing for F'n winters!!But I will start massing in a few.Check my blog, your feelings on cardio are more positive than mine.
Thanks for adding me as a friend. Congrats on your accomplishments so far, I'm sure you've got many more coming your way. You sound like you have a great head on your shoulders; keep focused and never give up!
hey thanks for the add man, and good luck w/getting cut! it's hard to stay away from food and carbs (carbs is way hard for me!), but if ur consistent, it's worth it. i'm kinda impatient when it comes to this stuff....oh well, i'll get better soon. -Andrew
