DCHodges36 May not sound heavy to some but to me it is did box squats: 1@255x20, 1@275x10, 1@295x10, 1@315x8. All good form. : ) Had a good day 2day!

  • I've been doing box squats too trying to build better form with heavier weights. Really has helped. It's freaking hard to push from a sitting position which makes it such a great alternative to regular squats.

DCHodges36 Sorry I know rest days are important to grow but I couldn't stay away. I went in did weighted pull ups, one arm rows and one calf machine.

DCHodges36 HIt chest then slid into some forearms ending with some abies. : ) I have a planned rest day but I may sneak in to do abs and deads.

DCHodges36 I did some quads, hit my traps and calves with one work out each. Can't say crushed but I stepped on my abs a bit. Hamstrings n some chest X

jr1970 I actually still work for a company in Buffalo. Was able to set a up a great deal to work from home out here. The weather and scenery is great here, no comparison to B-lo. The Mudders are a great time. I recommend doing them with a group of friends, you won't regret it. May 8, 2013 9:21am

bigdaddy1972 Dear friend I have really been working hard on bringing in my glutes,quads and hamstrings for this next show.I have been doing a lot of walking lunges with weighted barbell,deep squats,front squats and stiff legg deadlifts.I also have been working more on my shoulders.Thank-you for wishing me luck I feel pretty confident.When do you plan on competing next? krisloock Hey! I did both Figure & FitBody (physique) & turned pro in FitBody last year so I'm competing in that category only now...I used to get scored down in Figure for being too muscular & too lean...ha! Looking at a show in October at the moment...want to use the summer to do a slow lean so prep will be relatively painless in the fall! How about you? Apr 26, 2013 9:25pm

trapperj I think your comparison photo you look better on the left. Much crisper. But I have seen guys who are too muscular win and then be dead last in back to back shows. So it is completely dependant on the judges. I go in presenting what I think is a "balanced" physique. The judges either like it or not. As long as I present what I think looks good, I am happy. trapperj I have been thinking I need to make the muscle bigger so they pop easier at higher BF. They are not bad I just have to sort of flex and that can come across bad to the judges. Thanks, I start my final prep this week. I am doing a ten day MODEL CUT to see how it goes. April 13th at a big show in Pensacola, FL. an hour from where I live. They had 170 competitors last year before crossovers. SO there should be a lot of competition. They are having four classes and Master's. Apr 1, 2013 4:51pm
