"It is so true the last few pounds are the hardest to lose! I am at 194 and want to get to 185. I am enjoying the attention I am getting with my new body. It is great and inspires me to keep working hard!"

Personal Info And Background:
Real Name: Dennis
Sex: Male
Age: 52
Location: North Hills, California, United States
Occupation: teacher
Personal Website:
Gym: Bally's
Gym Location: Encino
When I Started: Oct, 2006
How I Started: My dad died a year and a half ago and I ate anything and everything. Last fall I realized I couldn't go on like that and I started to eat less and made an effort to work out harder and more consistently. Since then I have lost 40 pounds. I have discovered that I have some muscles under all that fat, go figure. Losing the weight and all the comments help me to keep going.
Why I Love It: I have been overweight most of my life and have hated it. It makes me feel good about myself and helps me stay focused. One of the things I have realized is that I really like working out. It relieves stress and has help me stay out of depression. Now that I have lost weight my cardio work out is much easier and I am noticing changes in my body. IT JUST FEELS GOOD!
How I Stay Motivated: The motivation comes from the changes I see and feel as I become healthier. The comments and words of encouragement from others also really helps. Thanks to all of you who have taken the time to be a part of my support team! I stay motivated by seeing the transformation of my body. I am getting the body I have always wanted. That gets me excited!

Hey Dennis, yup, most interesting. Had he is Jewish! I think he went a long way in promoting discussion particularly on campus. I know my son and his wife went with 18 other folks to see it then discuss it. Hope all is well with you. JJM
