How I Started:
I've been a serious runner since early in high school, branching from playing soccer, marathon training over the past few years. This, of course, meant that I have always been skinny and without any upper body. After I got a job training people mostly on cardio in my old gym, I decided to take advantage of the weight area for the first time.
Why I Love It:
Aside from getting stronger and feeling better, its a great stress reliever after a long day in class or an all night studying session.
How I Stay Motivated:
Looking at better, stronger lifters (several of which are on this site) and keeping in mind that I have a looong way to go to get anywhere near what I'm aiming for.
BB Accomplishments:
Nothing official obviously, but I consider it an accomplishment what I have added on to a naturally skinny, distance runner's physique.

I really need a workout partner in Des Moines. Other than that I'm going to try a few new nutritional supplements from my job and try to put on about 8-10 pounds.
Goal (Long):
I'm still working on adding some mass which sometimes goes well and other times really doesn't. Since I moved on Dec. 30th I have completely cleaned up my diet (which historically is my big time weakness) and been trying to eat more throughout the day which is hard since I'm rarely real hungry. I'm also getting better workouts in now at Gold's compared to the gym I was at in Mississippi. I hope to see some results from this by the middle of February.
Description: It was the first one I took about 5 months ago where I was genuinely pleased with watching it.

Looking great, Dan. Looking back to the oldest Photos that you posted, I dont see that Skinny upper body of a runner that you referred to. You always looked pretty cut to me and I see progress in building some mass, now. Keep it up and the sky's the limit.
