Watching the basketball tournaments, seeing the emotions from the players and coaches, and the finality them you know that team sports are a primer for life. . It is just a game, but it is more. Sports is like life--It requires perseverance, self-denial, being part of something bigger than yourself, hard work, sacrifice, dedication, and respect for authority. Then it is gone, and that part hurts. In time the lessons learned will become invaluable, and the memories of being part of a team will bring a great feeling of worth. Those who have experienced both the highs and lows of this understand.
