Supplements are over-rated, however they can give you an edge during and after your workouts.
Suppliments should be taken in order to supply your body with nutrients you dont get from your whole food diet.
- I personally find it hard to consume enough calories because I have a naturally fast motabolism.
- Vitamins and minerals are a massive part of a diet.
- Obviously, protein is the most important nutrient, for repair.
- Carbohydrates are also important for energy.
Therefore, I take a suppliment called 'Serious Mass' which has been voted one of the best weight gainers available, stacking a massive 1250kcal, 250g carbs, 50g of whey protein 25 different vitamins and minerals, along with a sprinkle of creatine, this suppliment is very useful for gaining weight.
I also take BCAA's from MetRx. The fitness model Lazar Angelov voted that BCAA's are the most important suppliment, after protein. These give you an edge during your workout by stopping muscle from catabolising, i.e. breaking up for energy.
Also, when cutting I take ZMA which is a natural tesosterone booster, I find that this suppliment gives me a slight boost in energy and performance during my workouts.
