How I Started:
I've always wanted to be in good shape but had never really taken the time to go to the gym regularly. While preparing to deploy to Afghanistan my battle buddy and I had a contest to see who could be bigger/stronger by the time we left. I won but was still not satisfied with the way I looked. So once I arrived in country I resumed hitting the weights and exercising almost everyday when missions would allow. I quickly put on quite a bit of lean muscle mass that I soon was given the nickname "roids" though I am far from being the biggest or strongest on my COP.
Why I Love It:
I enjoy seeing results and watching my muscles grow.
How I Stay Motivated:
I compare myself to others at my gym, workout with a motivated partner, trash-talk my battle buddies and read fitness magazines.
