I have been in school, earning my various degrees and certifications, for ten years. I always told myself when I was finished improving my mind, I would improve my body. I finished school in December and started dedicating my time to working out in January.
Why I Love It:
I love the physical challenge, the visable results, and all the research and science associated with fitness/bodybuilding.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have always been the nerdy, book-smart girl that was noticed for her mind, I am enjoying this new attention I am getting for my body; that is very motivating.
What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
Music motivates me; I listen to the most upbeat songs I can on the way into the gym and through out my workout.

How has bodybuilding and fitness helped or hurt your relationship?
It has put some stress on our relationship because my boyfriend has some not-so-fond memories of a past girlfriend that was a fitness competitor. Her successes and life style changes affected him and their relationship; I am often assuring him that this will not happen again.

Today I had one of those moments where the lifting isn't just for show, there's an actual purpose for strength. While at a friend's home, her cat got stuck under a wing-back chair (a fairly large arm chair). The chair was in a corner and could not be scooted forward because it would hurt...
THank you DaniAnne :) It was so much fun I can't wait to do this again.. I'm looking forward to the next 5 to 6 months to add more muscles and do it all over again :) The day of the show makes you forget all the pain and suffering of the diet and Cardio.

Started Shaun T's Insanity, this is the 3rd week.If ur still wanting to target ur legs this is it! max cardio training and plyometrics. it is Ntense! it has sculpted my quads better than squats ever could! you are looking great, keep up the good work.....Im aiming at 9% body fat by March as well...got any insight?I was at 39 body fat at first, I am at 19 now so I gotta get 10 % more off....
