My Motivation Program

I used to not be able to run 400 meters to save my life. Now I run over 4 miles a week and lift 5 days a week. I love the way that I feel and the results that I see. I am getting compliment all the time on how I look, etc. What I have accomplished I never thought would be possible.

In working in the fire service it is important to be healthy as the number one killer is heart attacks. I have one friend who had one at 30 and a guy at the firehouse who has had 3 heart attacks. I do not want to be another statistic. Plus I want to know that I can push myself that extra effort to help save someone one day.

SeenYourSanchez Going good, tonight I did a TRX/upper body workout with weights, I am spent, can't even really lift my arms above my head. Haha. Trying to get ready for my next CPAT test in April, hoping to improve my time by 30 secs. I took my first CPAT in February and got 8:30. I graduate from my academy in May so I am stoked. SeenYourSanchez Hey Dan, have you ever heard of the Tough Mudder contest? I just found out about it, and am thinking about doing one this summer. It seems like another challenge that would be fun to train for, a la Firefighter Challenge. Also have you heard of TRX? I did a workout with that yesterday after cardio, I feel sore all over.
