I have rencently been to a couple of bodybuilding shows. They have an over 50 class now well I am almost there. I competed when I was younger got the kids almost grown so I have time to train again

Background

When I Started: Apr 1978
HOW I STARTED:

I was always very thin weighted 140 lbs in high school so I join a gym when I got out of school

WHY I LOVE IT:

I have always been fairly strong and I love the way my muscles feel after I train

monday i did legs and biceps and forearms tues ill do cardio and abs WED wil be chest and triceps thurs cadio and abs friday back shoulders Saturday ill do legs and biceps and rotate what i do next week for example next monday will be chest and triceps i do cardio always on my weekend workout along with abs and calfs and the same on tues and thurs cardio abs and calfs

Special Olympics

My SPec Oly partner and I had a good session yesterday he did a 225 lbs deadlift my goal for him by the contest is 225 I did 350 which was my goal so 375 is my new goal would love to do 400 again but i was 25 when i did 455. I am still at a 275 bench with a pause I can do 315 without my goal there is 300. Pete has some balance issues on the free weights I am working him 1 more week on the machines and some core traing then next week i am changing things up for him .

Special Olympics

Its been a while since I have logged on I have been busy with special olympics first it was coaching softball now I have a powerlifting team we will be competing in January at winter games in Marietta Ga. Its a unified team so I can lift also and my totals count with theirs. My partner had a tramanic brain injury he can't do squats which is ok by me but we can do the bench and deadlift together . Its been a fun ride so far its a great group of people I am working with I highly recommend it to anyone to be involved with the special olympics its so very rewarding....

Its been a while but I bench press 300lbs today have had 2 weeks of hard training feeling good plus I have managed to drop 8 lbs when I drop a couple of more I will post some progress pictures

Pwisnasky awww thank you I hope so but will not be in gym wednesday or thursday! Did not get to go today due to shopping and have to go to store before work for last minute dinner things then work then stay up all night cooking so no gym tomorrow or Thursday OMG and then working off the dinner i will be taking three steps back. Friday Saturday and Sunday will be hell in the gym trying to stay on track and when will I catch sleep lol Nov 25, 2008 10:01pm
