I begain working out to gain weight and strength for football, and over four years I gained a solid forty pounds. Now that football is over, I'm lifting for more bodybuilding purposes, and because I love it.
Why I Love It:
I didnt enjoy lifting to start with, but now since I am relativly strong and look more "jacked", I really enjoy it.
How I Stay Motivated:
Always have a workout partner. The mutual benefit from working together is greater than you could ever get alone (and that doesnt just go for lifting).
BB Accomplishments:
Steadily gaining 40 pounds over 4 years for football
Ever since I started weight training as a freshmen in high school, I loved it. Now in college, my goals shift from becoming better in football to bodybuilding. My friends often ask me, why do you bother? Someday they will understand. Bodybuilding is not about vanity. It is about taking your life under your own hands. Every rep, I know I am bettering myself. I get the same feeling walking out of a gym as I do at the end of a study sesh: accomplishment. And if my muscles get bigger and stronger, I passed the exam.
Hey thanks a lot man, and yeah im all natural, I lift kegs for my job.... so the leg power comes a lot from all of that each day... gets pretty sore. a lot of low reps was my basis for lifting and then the bodubuilding came with it all. but thanks a lot man... I appreaicate it.
Hey Danny, thanks a lot man! I'm trying dude!! It's very hard sometimes, but it's all worth it!
Lookin awesome bro, keep at it and keep training hard!
Nick
Hahaha, thanks a lot brother! Lookin ripped! I seriously do need to update my stats though lol been awhile. Well anyways, take care and keep training hard! You look great bro!
It is possible!! I know 99% of people say otherwise but whatever. I can't stand cardio. I'm not going to lie though, I think 99% of people will need at least some cardio to get that lean. The ones that had to fight for every pound of muscle though and eat a ton to gain any weight at all, those people will probably need very little cardio. Just as long as they're busting their ass with the weights and are spot on with diet.
Thanks for the advice. I don't think I could handle more than one muscle milk in a day anyway. They're good, but awfully filling.
Your back looks great.
:)
hey man it really depends on your metabolism, mine is ridiculously fast so i can actually get away with not doing any at all! ive found in the last year tho that doing about 25 min 3x a week has given me great results! Keep your food clean and you should have no problem staying lean while bulking!
You look super shredded! I agree with Fern: eat clean and eat lots and don't worry about cutting fat right now. And bodyfat monitor are crap: I have the exact opposite problem as she does because I think it only gets my arms. Calipers, especially a 7 or 9 point test, are much better.
