When I Started:
Feb, 1996
How I Started:
I was extremely over weight as a youth, till I heard a girl call me a gross fat F&#%, I became bulimic and anorexic, for 3 years, lost my hair and experienced other health issues. My brother got me on the right track 15 years ago, been working out ever since.
Why I Love It:
I love body building because at the end of the day when you look in the mirror, you know you are 100% responsible for what you see looking back, if you don't like it you have the ability to change it. You can be like a artist, a little more here a little less there... if it were only as easy as using modeling clay...
How I Stay Motivated:
it's no longer something I do, it's a life style... it's something I love.
BB Accomplishments:
6th Place out of 28 in my first body building show ever 2006 NPC Western regionals!

cyriloatleychanged Weight from 191 lbs. to 194 lbs., a 3 lb. gain in 86 days
As always this is just a work in progress shot, feels good to be over 200, but it's a fight to stay over 200 lbs here in iraq cause the food sucks nuts...
Maintain a Vegan lifestyle and diet and also continue to add muscle.
Goal (Long):
Back in March on a trip to Rome Italy, I decided to read the book "Skinny Bitch" all I can say is it dramatically changed my outlook on the FDA and Meat processing. The more I researched the more I decided Dairy and Meats are just not for me. I Have since dropped to 175lbs, and all though I feel wonderful, I continue to wrestle with the body builder within me. So I have decided to blog and Journal my journey to try and reach the 200lb mark yet again, this time without meat or dairy, this includes any proteins derived from animals and or animal by products.
look here if you would like to know the meaning of "vegan"

How has bodybuilding and fitness helped you in your career?
As a Bodybuilder you have to subject yourself to some of the hardest conditioning and diet anyone will ever have to endure, after completing a pre-contest regimen you learn just how strong you are in body mind in spirit, making the things work throws at you seem like a breeze. As a Bodybuilder you have to subject yourself to some of the hardest conditioning and diet anyone will ever have to endure, after completing a pre-contest regimen you learn just how strong you are in ...more
Setting a realistic rep range is not an easy thing to do. When you think about your set do you think about contractual movement of the muscle squeezing the crap out of it, and isolating the muscle, repping till you reach absolute failure. Or do you think last set was 15 reps this set is 12 do...
Nah, no worries. Time is valuable, especially when your busy. Thanks for replying.
All that vegan? Wow thats awesome! Good job. Been trying to get my body to stay lean but gain some mass. It's for a modelling comp. =).
I know jealous right, ahaha jk. Nahh, I'm the envious one, need to start gettin' some mass in my life. Guess I need to start bustin' my ass even more too haha.
Sup Bruh! I must be doing something right, because I'm starting to get road maps all over my arms, and i'm appearing leaner in the pec area. All very motivating. friday's an arm day, so thats the plan today.
Sounds awsome bro!! Looks like you are defying the naysayers on the issue that vegans can't gain muscle without meat. Nice job. Here it is your gaining, and I'm workingon losing a bit. lol
What up Cy!
Training been great. Still working on the diet. I've decided to incorporate more fish in my diet on a monthly basis. Maybe start off once a week, to get it in at least 4 times a month, not counting my tuna that i sometimes eat for lunch. Other than that its been ok. How you doing?
Better busy than not right haha? Dang 187 already...good job bro. Just curious, were you vegan when u did your show in them pics?
Things have been a little nuts here at work not alot of time to blog. Diet and training are going well, sitting around 187 =) 13 more lbs to go. Your lookin cut these days man keep up the good work!
Thanks for the comments bro. I know everyone is asking the same thing but, how do you maintain the size on the vegan diet? That is quite fascinating, I'd love to hear about that sometime.

I know...that was part of the reason that I stopped logging into the website....always great to read your posts....you know that I've always been motivated by you....anxious to see how the vegan diet works for you...but I'm not giving up my meat!! :) Miss ya sweets
Thanks for the blog comment Cyril. Just read your blog from the 16th...intense, and that was good reminder on pulling with the elbows. Keep working HARD.
Eric was too lazy to look in bodyblogs haha. Just got done reading it man. Thats some intense stuff. I remember watching an interview with a UFC fighter who said his lifestyle was vegan too. Do it to it brotha!
