Used to work out years ago when I managed a GNC Store, then I developed a "mystery illness" that left me unable to keep anything down other than sports drinks for more than a month(no, it wasn't the hangover after my senior year in college). Once the illness passed I started gaining weight. Lots of it. In fact I put on 174 pounds in less than a year.
Now, It's down to this or Gastric Bypass surgery. I don't want my guts rearranged to keep me from killing myself with a fork and spoon so I'll try to kill myself in the gym.
Why I Love It:
I am always amazed at those that can make the crossover from having/enduring the workout to the love of the sport and the sculpting process itself
How I Stay Motivated:
Man boobs, or at least the fear of having them will keep me motivated!
BB Accomplishments:
Just getting started is a huge accomplishment for me.

That song by Jerry Reed popped into my head when I realized I had dropped another 6 pounds. "East bound and down, loaded up and truckin', we're gonna do what they say can't be done" Get's me rockin' just thinkin about it.
I am currently ready Chris Carmichael's book Eat...
Hey Sam, just checking in to see how you're doing. Hope all is well. Just remember, building muscle and losing the unwanted fat doesn't happen overnight. Look forward to the small victories and before you know it you'll see the big miracle. Have a great weekend - Gary
Thanks for dropping by.
It is cold up here but we had some nice weather a couple of days ago.
It felt like summer.
Hope you have made progress and have nice weather.
Hey Sam, congratulations on making your first move towards a NEW LIFE! If you have a kick butt, take no prisoners attitude and don't sweat the small things that happen to us all, you WILL acheive everything in life (including your bodybuilding goals). Just don't stop or give up EVER. You can do it.
I thank you very much for dropping by and for the great comments you left me. By focusing on your goal, staying strong and determined along with committing to do what needs to be done, you will achieve what you set out to do. Martin Luther King Jr. said:
“The true measure of a man is not how he behaves in moments of comfort and convenience, but how he stands at times of controversy and challenges.”
I received my much-needed transformation and lost over 50 lb’s in only 12 weeks by following the Body for Life program, it is not super easy but it isn’t so hard that you can’t achieve your goals. I believe that if you challenge yourself to be the best that you can be the results will be well worth the effort. I wish you success with whatever program or method you choose to follow and look forward to watching your progression.
Its a long fight but worth it - i did it [ 115lbs in a year] - you must stay motivated and never ever yield. as you lose weight , keep a pair of old trousers to remind you from whence you came and why you must never return. Good luck for the coming months [ 30 to 36 ] i think. Its gonna be ok.
Hows the cardio going? Diet? You better not be eating any pizza, lol, well unless its on your cheat day. Just keep up the cardio and watch the carbs like a hawk.
