I do not. Way too much like exercising. Just do not want to be fat so it is a price I pay.
How I Stay Motivated:
Love watching the big weights move.
BB Accomplishments:
Well my goal up until Jun 24th 2008 was to do 150lbs (68Kg) dumbbell press with each arm(300lbs total) with some sort of relative ease (a few sets of 5 for instance). Well, on 24th just for grins I tried the 160lbs (73Kg) dumbbells and they went up with relative ease until I hit a wall on the forth rep. I tried 170lbs (77Kg) dumbbells afterwards and could not even budge them. I tried the 160's again and hit the wall at 4 reps again. All in all it was a good day. There was a time where I thought it required "juice" to get up to those weight levels especially since I am 210 lbs - unless pizza and ice cream counts. :-)
3 sets & 5 reps of 300 lbs dumbbell press @ 3 times a week [150 in each arm]. Also simply to gain strength and lose fat.
Goal (Long):
On a good day I can do 3,3,2 reps of 150 lbs (68.2 kg) in each arm [300 lbs total (136.4 kg)]. Usually it is 2,3,2 on an average day [yes I can do one more rep on the second set - odd I know]. I only work out once or twice a week since I travel a lot. Also it is hard to find 150 pound weights and above.
What supplements do you take immediately before your workout? Why?
Amino 2222. I have found that "5 Hour Energy" about an hour before workout or better yet NaNO Vapor 5 minutes before you work out will make you lift like a krazed idiot. What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
Looking in the mirror and getting pissed off that I am getting older usually does the trick. A good workout partner would be the best motivation. It is hard to find a strong person without an inflated ego or a person low self esteem in that they can only define their worth or only talk about by entering competitions which are subjective. Hey whats happening little guy! Man I miss training with you I had some great workouts at Golds you would have loved it. Thank you for helping me gain confidence in my strength. You are what ever lifting partners should be. Hope you had a good 4th. See you when you are ready to get back to work.
Whats up pops? How are you man? Hope you got some rest man I know you have been working hard. You know you're not as young as you used to be and you're getting more and more fragile in your old age so get that rest. Hope to catch up with you this week. I hope all is well and you are taking care of that injury and have been able to train without much pain. Talk to you soon. Train Hard!
Hey big guy. So the DVD was filmed at the Golds we worked out at. And thats Bob Cicherello I met him back in December. Thanks man I appreciate it. There is a lot of detail that they cover.
Thanks man that was a great workout. That was the longest I have worked out in almost a year. I think it was the atmosphere and the fact I had a good partner. I found out about this gym called Met-rx gym we gotta check out. I heard good things about it. Thanks for the tips again and pushing me to go with the 130's. How has your week been?
