cssrss Didn't have the right weights at the gym to hit my exact squat goal today......So I squatted 5lbs heavier and did 305lbs 4x Woooo!!!!

dutchie1 i absolutely agree, it's just sad some people think they can get big by just doing leg extensions/curls and cable flies, my gym trainnees don't like powerlifting so he always have me lower the weigh and go for hypertrophy, hes right cause i'm young so i have to take it easy on my knees and back, for example, my trainne HATES deadlifts, last week he really didn't want me to attempt 275lbs, so now i'll just take it easy and go for hypertrophy and at end of next month i'll go for ME day Mar 24, 2013 1:44pm

dutchie1 your welcome, you like squats? i really enjoy deadlifts and squats, i'm trying to get as strong and fit as i can, my goal is to reach a 300 pound squat soon (currently i can box squat 220lbs x 10 reps) i'm young so i have to be careful not to wreck my back so trying to avoid heavy weigh and focus bit more on hypertrophy for now Mar 23, 2013 8:35am

TLdouggie I enjoy the challenge but your right it is an ego buste. I want to hit my goal so bad its frustrating sometimes. The thing is I know I can do it on some days its easy and on other days the same weight is freaking heavy I don't get it. But I guess its all a part of growing Mar 20, 2013 4:53pm

TLdouggie That 5 pounds can be a lot of weight, I was benching one time and I was feeling good I felt strong that day.I put on a lot of weight and got it. I rested some and put another 5lbs on and couldn't get it at all. Your putting up some good numbers that's awesome. Your work is paying off Mar 20, 2013 4:30pm

TLdouggie I did set some pretty big goals for this year. I want to do another drug free bench press contest and hit a new max on my bench and curl. With my elbow surgery last week I'm not sure how that will go but I'm gonna work hard for it. What about you Mar 19, 2013 4:51pm

Nurdboi Hey thanks for the add. I was just saying that we have the same height but I'm just looking to really add some size on my frame here, as opposed to you becoming a bodybuilder. Being 149 lbs @ 6'2" wasn't really comfortable. Gained 7 lbs so far. Feb 28, 2013 6:19am
