I worked out in college. After law school I only worked out occasionally, kinda hit and miss. My diet was horrible and being an attorney I was basically physically "inactive".
Then in 2006 I experienced a devestating personal blow and after many months of feeling sorry for myself I decided to start back training on a consistant level. I am hoping that being a member of Bodyspace will help me stay motivated on training and eating right.
Why I Love It:
I enjoy working out for several reasons. First, it is a great stress relief. Second, I have learned my physical shape correlates well with other areas of my life-like my job and relationships with others; I just feel so much better. Third, I feel that God created us two move and not be sedintary and "out-of-shape" and we should take that serious.
How I Stay Motivated:
My kids help me stay motivated; I want to stay healthy to try and set an example for them. Also, my secretaries have actually helped as well when it comes to eating healthy.
Lately, I have stayed motivated by this web site; especially by those who are my age and have careers.

The credit belongs to the man in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly...who spends himself for a worthy cause...and if he fails, at least he fails daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who have never known neither victory nor defeat.- Teddy Roosevelt
My fitness goal is to start cutting up and tone my mid section by May.
Goal (Long):
I was athelitic in High School and College. However, during law School and afterwards fitness took a back seat to a career which resulted in my becoming terribly "out of shape". After my divorce in 2006 i decided to start back working out on a consistant routine. I would like to get back in a 31" waist pair of jeans and get my bodyfat below 12%.
7 days left on this training cycle; then 7 days off. on last phase of the x-rep training routine. seeing more cuts than i have had in the past 15 years
You can get the Ezekiel at most, not all, chain grocery stores. They typically keep it in the refrigeration section as they do not sell it much. Ask for Non-flour bread. The Chompies I get from Strouts or Trader Joes (health food stores which carry both types). Best of luck with your goals and remember to toast the Ezekiel!
Hi Craig..welcome to our group.we are here to share our experience and passon with everybody...please let us know your suggestions or questions.thanks and have a nice week:-)
Thanx for the friend add Craig. U used to do NO cardio! But for the past month I am incoporating 20 min swimming into my workouts. Wish u much success bud. G.
Congrats on the 32" waist. Yes, you can keep on cutting without losing muscle mass. You just have to find that perfect calorie count that feeds muscle growth but does not overflow into storing fat. Start a bodyBlog of your exercise and nutrition every day, and I'd be glad to check in and give suggestions.
it can be a small world sometimes. I am from Oakdale but don't remember stating that any where, where did you read it? what's the name of your offices in Oakdale?
