Background

When I Started: Jun 1997
HOW I STARTED:

Well I technically started back when I was 13...I was introduced to weights by my father. I read the muscle mags and knew I wanted to look like that. But then HS came, and the weights was not a priority of mine any more. I was too busy hanging with friends and having fun. It wasnt until right after HS and was working at a desk full time that my metabolism slowed WAY down and I got fat. So I started my mission to lose weight and lost 65lbs that year. I did my first BB show 2 years later at 20yrs old, I was hooked on BB ever since!

WHY I LOVE IT:

I love the challenges it brings. Any fool can lift a weight, it takes guts and determination to actually compete though. To stick with it year after year and keep pushing forward. Pushing your body to the limits.....

4.5 weeks out

 

So I just wanted to bring everyone up to speed into what is going on and what is on my mind during this prep.


So I have been dieting now for about 4 weeks. A lot had happened within this time frame to test my will and determination. I have had a lot of problems in my personal life that would have  probably stopped most people from progress.


In addition I have had a lot of changes in my life recently. I moved into a new place about 1.5 weeks ago, I also just started a new job about 3 weeks ago. While the job is d

AM Cardio sucks....

Ok, so it haas been abouut 3 weeks now since I started my new full time job. I am just barely getting used to the new day shift hours. I am finding it very difficult to get up early and geet my 1st session of cardio in before work. I made it a point this week to get that done. So far, it is Thursday and I have gone twice....so thats 50%. Not good, but I guess better than not going at all. I will make sure to finish off by going tomorrow though! I have never been a morning person, so this is a huge test for me. But I am determined to do it. So hopefully by next week, that percentage will be WAY...

Hard times ahead...

Well this is my first blog on here....So I will start first by briefly catching you all up to speed on what has transpired over the past year. I have been competing for over 10 years, and did the whole bulking/dieting thing. I would bulk up to over 240-250 and diet back down to just under 200lbs for shows. Which, if you compete, then you know how hard that is! About 15 months ago I started modeling full time. So because of this I was forced to stay lean year round.
