How I Started:
US Army. We had to take physical fitness tests every 6 months. And in order to go to Airborne School, Ranger School etc. minimum passing score was 80%.
Why I Love It:
Makes me feel strong, like I can do anything. It is the one thing I can do right.
How I Stay Motivated:
By reading mags, comparing notes with other lifters, attend BB and PL meets, and watching videos

Go from current 183 to 200. Decrease bodyfat to 10-12 percent. And, complete the Houston Half Marathon on January 17, 2010.
Goal (Long):
I have been skinny most of my life. It is difficult for me to gain weight, especially muscle. I want to be strong. And, I want to take off my shirt in the summer and not feel ashamed. I want tight abs. I will like to keep a bodyweight of 195-200 pounds.
Why? What are the pros and cons of working out there?
Pros: There are others around who can serve as motivation and can spot for you if necessary. There are products and supplements available if you need them.

What should look for in a gym? What should you avoid?
Look for: Good selection of freeweights. Open late hours. Avoid: Popular "party places" (fad gyms).
