I want to fight competitively. That being said, I don't want to get beat up, competitively.
My routine is usually far from routine, and allows for many variations.
Endurance being key, I train weights, light and heavy interchangeably, incorporating HIT sessions.
In between, I like to add light and sometimes occasionally heavy, short bursts of cardio-
Speed ropes, eliptical sprints, high-pace treadmill, or boxing/kickboxing incorporating heavy bag.
Other days I focus on the less acknowledged aspects of combat sports, such as flexibility.
Generally these days I incorporate yoga, core-conditioning and stabilization excercises,
as well as some more basic Brazillian Jiu Jitsu conditioning body-weight workouts.
Body weight excercises play a big role in most days routines for me.
