How I Started:
I actually started in high school. I loved weight training class. Then when I graduated high school I did a bodybuilding show in 1991. I looked alright, not bad. Then the kids came along and I gained quite a bit of weight with them. 70lbs first kid, and 45 second kid! I still worked out off and on but let myself go. Lost some of the passion. Working out has always been my favorite!!! My husband also was starting to let himself go. So we fed off of each other, enabling each other. But in our hearts we knew in the back of our minds what we wanted. My husband realized that he needed hormone replacement after blood work and that changed our life. He became the man I first met! We jumped back right into the swing of things and are feeling younger than ever. My husband does much better on the eating, as I have little binges. I am fighting these and I think this board will help. So I feel like this is a new beginning for us! I have been with my husband 16 years and things couldn't be better!
Why I Love It:
Watching the body change is amazing. I love the push and pull of the weights, sweating and feeling the good pain the next day. The one thing I have learned though is that You can take a lot of stuff outside the gym to. I started rock climbing at an indoor gym, hike mountains, ride my bike and joined the running club! There is endless possibilies!!!
How I Stay Motivated:
My amazing husband! He is my workout partner, and keeps me going. It helps when the spouse is right there with you with the same goals. I want to live a cleaner and healthier life. Also I want our boys ages 10 and 14 to see how important it is to stay healthy and active.
BB Accomplishments:
I entered a bodybuilding competition in 1991. I placed 2nd out of 3 people. It was an amazing feeling.
This is hard putting these pics up, but here it goes! I am trying to get rid of the belly. I am getting serious now. Want a tight butt!
side pose. Don't see cuts or anything but you will soon. We are getting ready to go on vacation, so I might have a little set back. I am going to try and eat as healthy as possible, but it's vacation!
I am proud of you, you have been sticking to your diet this last week. Keep it up and it gets easier. Love you very much. Remember you always look amazing to me no matter what.
Hi Stacy-thanks for the add & comments-welcome to Bodyspace! I am so excited to watch your transformation-I will be your cheerleader b/c you can do this!!
Thanks for the add and the nice comment :) I'm glad to hear you are ready to change your diet. That's the hardest part, getting the right mind-set. If you really want it, you'll get there! I'm always checking in if you need any help :)
Thank you for your wonderful comments. There is no reason why you and your husband can’t look far better then we do and I hope that you two achieve whatever degree of fitness you aspire to. The body is remarkable and is only limited by our imagination. "I found that I could find the energy - that I could find the determination and I learned that your mind can amaze your body, if you just keep telling yourself, I can do it...I can do it...I can do it! "
Thank you for adding me to friends. Yes the Capt and I have a very wonderful relationship but it sounds as if you and your husband have found that key as well. When you both (and your kids) get on the same mindset to achieve a healthy lifestyle it effects every aspect in your life which includes relationships. Don't beat yourself up if you happen to have a binge but pick yourself right back up and start anew.
My wife and I both achieved body transformations by following the 12-week Body for Life program. We believe we know where you are coming from and feel that you can also make your fitness goals come true. My wife (bodyspace: judimax) went from size 12/14 to 4/6 and I lost over 50 Lbs and went from 36 to 10% bodyfat in only 12 weeks by utilizing the BFL program. Challenge yourself, and try to push a little harder each and every workout. Contact us if you more info.
