When I Started:
Jul, 2004
How I Started:
Believe it or not after I graduated Basic Training I gained about 20 lbs. I had always been small until I hit my mid 20's then it was downhill from there! I wanted to be the fastest runner in my unit and was tired of my uniform being too tight so I started off running every other day about 2 miles. It was hard with that extra weight. I finally mastered it and began running around 4-6 miles a day. Once the weight came off I then became bored with being so skinny. I decided to take up weight training and have been hooked ever since.
Why I Love It:
I love how strong and confident I feel when I see my biceps and shoulders shaped up even when Im wearing a long sleeved shirt.
How I Stay Motivated:
My favorite visual motivation comes every month in the mail, my Oxygen magazine! I love it!
BB Accomplishments:
I gave birth to my second son in March and have finally lost all the pregnancy weight. I truly believe working out everyday during the pregnancy (even the day I went into labor!) really helped accelerate my weight loss after baby. This was by far the most challenging and rewarding transformation, I was so happy to have my body back!
