When I Started:
Jul, 2008
How I Started:
To start off I grew up like most kids eating what ever I wanted and I was a very chubby child. I reached my highest weight of 170 lbs in 9th grade and decided it was time to lose weight. Over that summer I returned to 10th grade weighing about 125lbs and by the time I was 21 I weighed about 115lbs. I was able to lose the weight after both of my children but even at 115-125 I still carried allot of uneeded fat. My weight was literally a rollercoaster for years ranging from 120-140. I was not happy because at my lowest I was Skinny-Fat and my highest just FAT. My husband got really active in bodybuilding and became a certified fitness trainer. I have been working out on and off and love the sport. I always wanted to have a fitness physique and dreamed of it. I never realized back then that is was totally attainable. My goal is to live a healthy life with the perks of a great body to live it in. Why not! Its so much better than tasteing something great.
Why I Love It:
It makes me more emotionally balanced, I feel better all around, I am more active with my children and my husband. I wake up everyday and I feel great. Eating clean is THE BEST FEELING EVER!
I love the way that people admire others for being in shape. I am very outgoing and I naturally draw people to me with my personality and I have found that people are shocked to see a short fit, pretty, funny, outgoing person, packed all into this little body.
It funny how people think you know some secret when in fact it boils down to this, " Eat clean, work out, stay positive, and visualize the end result!"
How I Stay Motivated:
My husband is a big help! There are many people who motivate and inspire me but Id have to say that Jamie Eason is my biggest motivation...
Also I attend and compete in local bodybuilding competitions, being in the atmosphere keeps me driven to do it more and come in leaner and better. I do allot of research to keep my metal focus when Im at home and LOVE TO MUNCH. If I am visualizing my goals constantly I find that I attract them.
BB Accomplishments:
Starting AND NEVER GIVING UP! FOR ALL OF YOU THAT TRY AND TRY AND TRY, KEEP IT UP AND EVENTUALLY IT WILL STICK AND YOU WILL SUCCEED. My biggest accomplishment was sticking to my first 12week cut for my first bodybuilding show and not cheating on my diet once. I shed a total of 27lbs and competed in at 115. The next shows will be exciting for me because my goal is shredded.

How has bodybuilding and fitness helped and/or changed your family life?
Its huge! It structures me and my husband's daily routine. My children know more about a healthy lifestyle than any other child there age. We live a family life of health and fitness. My children love to eat clean and get really excited when they can have the candy that most kids eat every day every meal. Its huge! It structures me and my husband's daily routine. Are you a parent?
Yes
How has bodybuilding and fitness helped you to be a better parent?
It keeps me learning and teaching my children great fundamentals that will build there future. They will never be overweight, unhappy, hormonally unbalanced children. They know what is good and what is not. I allow them to make the choice and they usually request healthy ones at that. We stay very active as a family which gets us out of the house away from the TV doing tons of fun stuff. It keeps me learning and teaching my children great fundamentals that will build there future. Do you have a significant other?
Yes
How has bodybuilding and fitness helped or hurt your relationship?
Before I was into bodybuilding and it was just my husband, it did conflict with our relationship. Its hard for one to diet while the other is eating crap. Since I have really been into the sport these past few years and now compete, we are extremely happy and have a better relationship now than the first 7 years of our marriage. I always joke, " Those who train together, stay together". At least in our case we love working out together. Well I have researched and realized that what I am going thru like 90% of all 1st time competitiors go thru. They like to call is post comp blues. Yeah it sucks! I am finding myself in a spiral of eating clean and gorging. Then eating clean then gorging. Trying to maintain a competition...
Wow - 23 weeks of dieting will be tough! Still, I'm sure you will get even leaner than the last time, and you should do great! Thanks for the add Candice!
