I first got interested in bodybuilding when I met a guy named Cameron. Cameron was big into working out and he was also successful at it. I was 14 at the time, and it amazed me how he changed his body and had girls like he did. I envied him but never did much about it. We were going to start working out together about a year later, but we both just kind of quit talking to each other. I'm just starting to work out and I'm hoping that I can stick with it.

I want to be a bigger person, and have more self-confidence in myself through my body.
Goal (Long):
I am 133lbs and 5'9. I want to grow. I have always wanted to feel confident at pool parties and when wearing tighter clothes. I want to fill the sleeves up in my shirts. I want people to stop thinking I'm puny and tiny. I want to be serious about my body, and I want other people to know I am serious about my body.
What tips would you give to others to help them stay motivated over the long-term?
Pick somebody that you know will support you in changing your body. Make sure they keep on you. Another thing is just to keep the goal of a great body in mind!
Why I like this video: I like this video because it is a guy who is my age and has made good progress. I want to be able to gain and look better and bigger than he is!
Well my stepdad is from West Virginia. One place he used to go as a kid was the Hungry Mother Festival in Hungry Mother State Park. He really wanted to go, so this past weekend we all piled into the car and took the three hour drive up there. The park was a great place, and there were...
Well, I'm just starting out so it's not really detailed or anything. I do not have access to a gym, so I bought a set of dumbbells and I'm using those as much as possible. I am targeting my chest an arms first, then I am going to work on my abs. I already have a relatively hard stomach, so...
hey man thanks for the comment,
if i know 1 thing its that there will always be people in this world that try and hold you back from your goals, dont let them man, keep pushing weight and you will get where u wana be
peace
hey you left me a pic comment thanks. and yeah but change it up often keep your abs in shock like any other muscle. crunches one day leg lifts and knee raises another day. also diet is huge for abs.
Greetings Cloggerguy. I notice in your post that you need help in trying to gain muscle. I use to be like you when I was your age and also had trouble in trying to gain muscle too. If you need any help or tips for bodybuilding and nutrition, let me know and I'll see what I can do to help. I'm not a PT, but I do know allot about biology, bodybuilding, and nutrition.
Thanks.
You remind me of myself just about a year ago :) I wish I started out your age. You have a lot of time to get what you want and I'm sure you'll manage it... Don't listen to anyone if they say you can't do it. 'Cause it happened to me... I've got a long long long way to go but I'm a little older. You have plenty of time :) With good nutrition nad hard training it's possible, and when you put your mind to it you're half way there :) Good luck!
No problem Josh. I already see you in a few months gettin real nice. So keep you head up, train hard and dont worry about others. Like I said if you need help, let me know. Take care.
Hey Josh, Hang in there bro. You are on the right track already. You just need to dedicate yourself and even if you have to train alone, just do what you need to do push yourself to get it done. Just by you coming to BB means you want to get right. So hang in there. If you need any help or point dont be afraid to ask. Thats how we help each other. You are doing good kid, keep up the good work.
Good job! Progress will come in time. I don't know how much you are eating, but try to eat a lot and make sure it is healthy. You prabably know this already, but use very good form in the exercises (trust me, that is the most important thing). Keep it up!
change your, "i want my gf to be proud of me" thing, you cant lift for other people, you have to do it for yourself, girlfriend will come and go, but you won't. Also, dont be so negative on other people, u'll get a lot further if u remember that. good luck
