My Workout Philosophy View My Full Workout Program

My Workout Program

Wendler's 5/3/1, Boring But Big variant. I find it's the right amount of workload with good recovery time. I am four times a week, squats on Monday (after a good weekend of eating), overhead press on Tuesday, rest on Wednesday, deadlift on Thursday, bench press on Friday, rest on the weekend and back at it on Monday. I enjoy picking my own accessory work, and have decided to incorporate pull ups and chins into this routine. I will probably continue on this program for the rest of the year.

I also tried the Smolov for bench and added 25 lbs to my bench while I was recovering from some lower body surgery. (abcess) I will probably run it again after my hernia repair.

I look at pictures of people on BB.com and realize that's how I want to look. Seeing guys my age or older transform is fantastic incentive.
