How I Started:
I was very overweight. In Dec 08 I began cardio and dieting to lose weight. I lost about 20 pounds and decided that I didn't want to be skinny, but wanted some muscle. I began the Starting Strength program.
Why I Love It:
I really enjoy the lift it gives me, and it's so much more interesting than cardio alone.
How I Stay Motivated:
I look at pictures of people on BB.com and realize that's how I want to look. Seeing guys my age or older transform is fantastic incentive.

Starting Strength. In retrospect, I had the best progress on this program. Granted, it was newbie gains, but it's worth trying again. I know I can't add the weight per week, but I will work with the weight until I can add more, then work, add, etc.
