When I Started:
May, 2009
How I Started:
BTW - I'm an American and have been in Norway for 2 1/2 years. To begin, I was in just about the worst shape of my life a year ago (summer 2008)and it only got worse. I hit a low around March/April (2009) and finally did something about it in May. I had done some weight training in my 20's so, decided to do it again. Life's too short!
Why I Love It:
First, taking care of my body is part of the full package - mind, body, and soul! So, I love it b/c I feel much better, look better, and have loads more energy. I just feel so healthy now.
How I Stay Motivated:
By reminding myself of where I was was 3 months ago, 1 year ago, heck, 5 years ago. At this point the motivation is easy. I will "adapt", in time, though, and will find different strategies to stay motivated then.
BB Accomplishments:
At this point - I would say just deciding to start a program of bodybuilding. That was a major feat. Also, packing on 14 lbs in little more than a month was a big accomplishment for me (I know, most of it water and fat).

clgorechanged Weight from 166 lbs. to 167.2 lbs., a 1.2 lb. gain in 1 day
I had not weighed 148 since I was a senior in high school - 30 years ago. Wow, dig those red boxer briefs. It's easy to disparage and make fun (a skinny man)... The sad truth, though...
Here's where I am. Need to flex the right bicep more although it is my weaker arm. Definitely need to learn how to pose. Also, guess I have to shave my body hair like everyone else - lol! Anyway, really enjoying the journey at this point. I'm really feeling great compared to just 3 months ago - not ...
Minimally, to exercise regularly the rest of my life. To make it a habit. Additionally, I would love to get up to around 180 to 190 pounds yet maintain my definition. I would also like to bench 315 someday, maybe more. Who knows, lets see where I am in a year. I may modify my goals by then. Right now, I'm just enjoying the ride. I love working out and the pump is a natural "high". Maybe compete someday, who knows...
Amazing tranformation. Look at his photos and his bio is very inspiring. I can relate in many ways. Additionally, this guy is now competing - something I may do down the road.
Hey,
just checked out your latest pics from mid-July. Insane cuts. That's the way to do it. Keep your mass up and your fat down.
Your pictures remind me that I really need to work on my delts. Flexed I can see mine, but relaxed they're gone.
You massing up some, I see? Any new long term goals?
Cheers!
To tell you the truth I haven't measured my bodyfat in a while. I need to buy another set of callipers.
But I think I'd be satisfied with 10-12% bodyfat. Of. Course I'd like to be that and 200 lbs ;-) But I'm.really starting to see from guys like you that you don't have to weigh a ton to have really thick muscle mass.
I was the really, really skinny kid in school so I like the fact that at my will I can mass up.
What do you use to measure bodyfat ?
Jeez, man. That is some low bodyfat. My hat's off to you for building mass while being so lean. That's hard ! I know because I weighed 135 lbs when I graduated high school and it took 2 years to bulk up to 175 via weights and diet. Now I'm facing the opposite like you say. What is your goal weight?
Hey, what is your secret to building lean muscle mass ? Your rips are quite impressive.
I seem to be losing mass as I slim down so any advice would be welcomed. Keep up the good work!
