I started school and they had a gym I could use for free. I started going there, met people who were into bodybuilding/figure competing. After meeting Jamie Eason and Monica Brant at the Arnold '07, I started to focus more on competing for myself.
Why I Love It:
I am a student, so being able to do something active away from school relieves a lot of stress. Im not into the bar scene so going to the gym lets me hang out with people who have the same interests as me.
How I Stay Motivated:
-read articles from Mary Lado and Jamie Eason.
-prepare a very healthy meal
-check out videos on YouTube of figure competing/working out
-do cardio at the gym (which is located right next door, about a 3 minute walk)

i want to drop body fat to see what muscle i have underneath it. my ultimate goal is to compete in figure and actually be ready for it...i dont want to go into it just to get a feel for the expectations. i want to know whats going on before i get on stage. this is for health and personal reasons, but also to set goals and be in control of myself in order to reach it.
i set my long term goal at 12% but of course im going to be much lower than that when i step on stage...12% is just a healthy and fit percentage im aiming for....i have a long way to go!
as most of you know, i have been sick for almost the past month with pneumonia. its no biggie, i get it every year, but with the addition of 2 new inhalers and a nebulizer every week, im a-ok to hit the gym! so i went back today and felt like a complete loser because i havent been there in...
4 day split..im building a base right now..i use lighter weights for more reps and sets
back/biceps
back: 10-12 reps, 3 sets...i do less reps because i have a weak back.
biceps: 15 reps, 4 sets this allows me to focus on form..i have a hard time developing my biceps when i use...
