How I Started:
I've always been into ANYTHING dealing with athletics. In school i ran track (100m, long jump), played basketball (point guard), vollyball, and was a cheerleader. I got started through the influence of my grandfather. He was a U.S. Marine. I was always fasinated by his workout routines.
Why I Love It:
I love working out because of the rush I get when I'm doing it! It makes me feel impowered! I think I'm addicted...LOL! (Hi my name is Makita... and I'm addicted to...hahaha!)
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by looking at my pictures before my pregnancy, and after my pregnancy.

I want to be 140lbs, with 13% body fat. I've always been very athletic, I'm just having problems shaking the excess layer of fat (thanks to the birth(s) of my beautiful baby (babies)! I want to gain muscle in my legs, and tone my upper body as well.

*jog for 10 minutes (warm up)
*(3sets of 3reps) 100 meter form running @ 80% max. rest 3 minutes between each set.

Strength Training:
*barbell bench press- 3sets 20reps

Hey girl :) I hear you on that...I had to switch up too...was like...oh brother doing this again...not a good feeling and so easy to brush it off to the side. Yes, the diet part does get easier, but girl....I had a good ole time this weekend with a slice of apple pie and a scoop of vanilla ice cream whoo whee!! Anyway... Thanks for the support!! It was hard for me at first too. I love sugary carbs...my fave. :) Good for you...I can totally relate though. I'm ok - training is great. The trainer last night kicked my butt (maybe some of the fat was kicked off too) It was great though..worked hard and reallllllly sore still, but I still have to work abs and arms tonight. Pray for me. :) Are you working out tonight?

Thanks. $5K and trip to Toronto for a photo shoot. Girl, win or lose the pounds will be off...I can do my own photo shoot. LOL. It would be great to win and that is what I am striving for, but I want to maintain fitness beyond the contest.
