How I Started:
I was interested in weightlifting long before I started - I would sit for hours on bodybuilding.com and do research. As well as all the research I had done, two of my friends who have been lifting for a while inspired me to start, so in late december 2006 after purchasing a weights bench and plenty of weights, I made my start.

Weightlifting is good for physical and mental health.

This was taken on the 30th September 06, a few months before I started lifting. I was alot skinnier then and had long hair lol!
By the end of the summer I want to gain 14lbs and put on atleast another inch around my arms, legs and chest.
Goal (Long):
I would like to reach 182lbs (13 stones) and be pretty muscular. I would also like to be alot stronger, I'd like to be able to bench atleast my body weight.
Ultimately, I just want to be bigger and stronger and feel good.
I took the past year off lifting as I struggled to find the time for it due to my studies. I started again a few weeks ago and I'm already making gains. I forgot how much I enjoyed weightlifting!
Great weight gains!! That will surely help feed those muscles. Stay lean...eat healthy...sleep well...and pump that iron!! BTW, still into the heavy metal guitar playing? U2 is my style...saw them perform in Boston. WOW!!...later..jeff
Thanks bro' for the comment, there are "no" excuses, train hard, "Be Cool" & stay hard-core! Daryl Jones The new over "40yr." has arrived www.superheavyweight.com
Cool... yeah I recognized it as I have an RG myself, The neck is very playable, but bows a little under hot lights. http://www.myspace.com/savoy5
Cheers for the comment, much appreciated!
I am doing pretty well...Having a tough time keeping weight on but still eating healthy as ever. Definitely seeing growth my arms and shoulders which is reassuring for the last couple weeks.
Great profile. This is a great hobby. You lift and you get muscle so you can lift and get more muscle. Is this great or what? Hope you keep your profile updated with your progress.
ay man thanks ya i train with high intensity cuz theres no other way it should be done. i used to fight Mixed martial arts with my brothers and we trained hard as hell and it does pay off. then i got into bodybuilding and love it. so juss keep at it also man its good to do research also. well if u need help or advice dont be afraid to ask aight. later man.
Thanks for stopping by Ciaran..good luck with your goals. See you're already putting on some weight...that's a start!...Hit the protein, 'pump that iron', and get some occasional help from the "scotch grog" over there! ;). Later...jeff
