When I Started:
Jan, 2008
How I Started:
I've been athletic and in fairly good shape most of my life. In the mid-80's I started to bodybuild with my uncle and his friend. I was totally hooked, so I thought. I had my oldest son right after starting and never went back to the gym. Through the years, I joined Weight Watchers, lost 40 lbs. and have always been concerned with health and fitness. Weight slowly crept upon me and most recently, I became disgusted with my weight and eating habits and decided to commit myself to a lifestyle change! I had my youngest son take the "goodbye" pics because I didn't want my teenager or husband to see how I "really" looked under the "camouflage." When I took a look at the pics, I was shocked beyond words! I will never go back there again.
Why I Love It:
I love the RUSH! It clears my head, makes me feel so good, relieves stress and gives me time for ME.
I've always been competitive - and challenging myself and seeing results is AWESOME! I can't wait to see the full transformation.
How I Stay Motivated:
Looking at my "goodbye" photos! Wanting to make lifelong change for better health.
And just being sick and tired of being sick and tired!

Me and my girlfriends at Xmas time dining out! I looked and felt very "large" that day and had loads of body fat. Wish this pic showed my lower body to compare. Just know that I was larger than I am now! Time to make change.
I felt so good when I put this halter jumpsuit on. Starting to gain more confidence and feel better about how I look. Still have lots of work to do, but hey, it's a start!
My health and fitness goals are to lose 30 lbs. of fat, totally transform my body and live a healthier life!
Goal (Long):
Twenty years ago I started my quest for the ultimate body. I joined a gym and started bodybuilding. Not long after starting my newfound love, I became pregnant with my oldest son. I never went back to bodybuilding after he was born, but did eventually lose 40 lbs. and was happy with my body(although knowing what I know now - I was skinny fat). I kept most of the weight off through the years, but recently noticed that I didn't like what I saw and decided to commit to a lifestyle change of eating clean and working out.
Next month I will be 42 yrs. old and I WILL be stronger, leaner, wiser and will transform my body to look better than I did 20 years ago! I am dedicated to this way of life and can't wait to see the results. I WILL DO THIS!!! I will also become certified as a personal trainer in the near future, so that I can help others achieve their health and fitness goals.
Okay...while I am not a complainer by nature, I feel like venting about how unsatisfied I am with my progress in losing the fat around my mid-section. I have lost roughly 25 lbs. since late January and am very grateful, but I continue to torture myself with my mid-section progress. I...
Nice! Well, if you made it on this vacation, you should know to make smart choices on the next one ;) Just don't be all obsessed about it, but don't go overboard :)
Hi Tyneshia! Very busy with work and training, never have time to breath let alone come on here and stuff! How are your body goals shaping up? Getting to that goal? :)
