Personal Info And Background:
Real Name:
Peter Fitschen
Sex:
Male
Age:
23
Location:
La Crosse, Wisconsin, United States
Occupation:
Grad Student at UW LaCrosse majoring in biology with a phisology concentration, teaching freshman biology lab, working at walmart for the summer, and doing my masters thesis research on the health effects of black walnuts
Lincoln Secondary Attended 2000 to 2004 Lake City, Minnesota United States
When I Started:
May, 2002
How I Started:
I was too small playing baseball at 5'8" 125lbs and 16 yrs old so I started lifting after the sophmore season got over and haven't looked back since.
Why I Love It:
Stress relief and competing gives me a way to challenge myself.
How I Stay Motivated:
Winning an open class at a pro qualifier in my last contest has given me the extra kick in the ass I need to go get a WNBF pro card.
Lifting at a hardcore gym in an industrial warehouse complex where I'm one of the few guys who are natural and trying to keep up with the juiced up guys who don't give natural guys any credit. Also the fact that I know that if I keep busting my ass I'll hopefully be contending for a pro card by the time I'm in my early 30's.
This quote by Kurt Weidner also sums it up for me:
“18 weeks out
Another weekend in paradise. What was I doing? Thinking about blasting shoulders on a Sunday morning when all the other f***ers are still sleeping. Saturday morning my ### was on the treadmill at 6am thinking about what I needed to do this season so I can bring it when I step onstage. Of all the horrible things in life that can happen to you, disappointment is the worst…probably because it’s usually the result something you had the ability to control. 18 weeks…that means a limited number of opportunities to leave it all out there, so when I step onstage I’ll know I took every measure possible to be my best. How many others can say that? It doesn’t matter. All I worry about is me. If the guy standing next to me at the end of the night on show day worked as hard and was able to beat my best I’ll turn to him, shake his hand and congratulate him….but if he beats anything less than my best, then I will forever question myself and live with the pain until given the opportunity to redeem myself. For 18 weeks that’s what I’ll be thinking about because I’d rather endure any degree of pain in the gym on a daily basis than live with the pain of knowing I could have been better!!!”

Although I've never met Marc in person, I've always admired his work ethic. The fact that Mark owns the company that makes most of the supplements I take and looks like that speaks for itself. He works harder than anyone I've ever seen and it pays off.
Yeah Wisconsin! I looked at going to UW-Lax.. great school. Hope all is well, just wanted to say you look amazing and congrats on all the hard work! Keep it up
I appreciate that. Yeah, my main goal for an extended offseason was to fill out my physique. Even if I don't weigh one pound more than I did at my last show, I know my development is more complete. What shows are you doing next year?
Not sure whats in store, for the next show. This year there will be nothing, next year I'll have to pick one or two.
My buddy took a video of the routine its up on youtube. I should post it on here.
Training is going pretty good! How about you? Have not decided when the next show will be? Possibly the fall of 2010? Just have to make sure and have enough time to make some changes! what's next for you?
Thank you P!! My next show is in August. Not Guest posing this year. However I'll be helping at Mr.MN May 16th as an expeditor. Are doing Mr.MN? Hope all is well.
Thank you! I appreciate the comments! Going to try and tighten up a little bit in the next 3 weeks and see what happens! Glad you liked the routine! Keep training hard!
Great work bro keep training hard and best of luck with all your goals your friend industrialfreak "F*ck the beach muscles, bring on the freak muscles"
