I got started working out do to needing a change in life. I saw a 24 hour fitness and wondered if I could fit in. I was 118 pound skinny stick. I went in and was put on my path. They hired me for sales to my surprise. My love of fitness grew from there.
Why I Love It:
I love the way it makes me feel. The focus I get from it. The moment when all the world clears out for just that rep and set. You forget all the BS for just that short moment in time. It is you against your self striving to become better then the day before.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated through a few methods. One self improvement always wanting to be better. Two through seeing others who I emulate. Three by being one of the few fit males in my industry. I love the way it feels to stand above the crowd as an example. I want people to see you can be a cowboy and care about your health. That it is not all just beer and burgers or crap food.
BB Accomplishments:
My Biggest accomplishment has been going from 118 to my heaviest of 211. I got to do a few small nothing big shows. It felt great doing something I never dreamed possible.
I want to be in the best shape of my life for the 2010 reining season.
Goal (Long):
I want to be a shining example to my self and my peers that hard work pays off all the way. That you can strive to be the best in this sport and be in good physical shape. I want younger riders to look at me and see they do not need a beer gut to be a cowboy.
What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
I say a little mantra in my head. I repeat it over and over and through my work out if it is a real tough one.

Are you a parent?
Yes
How has bodybuilding and fitness helped you to be a better parent?

So I am just waking up and shaking the cob webs. Mentally mapping out my day thinking about my food intake. This is my weakest flaw. I wish I could say I am better on my nutrition but I am focused I have a better mind set then usual so wish me luck. Today I am going to be doing one rep max tests...
