I started in High School while training for Cross Country and Track.

How I Stay Motivated:
I want to look good naked :-) (I love that Kevin Spacey quote in "American Beauty" when the trainers ask his goal) Actually I do want to be proud of my body, so his quote is accurate!
BB Accomplishments:
I did complete my first marathon in December 2005. I needed to train all body parts in addition to my running workouts.

Revised June 26, 2007:
1. Lose 12 lbs of FAT by 9/1/07
2. Do a 5K race in late August with avg 7:15/ mile
3. Continue upper and lower body lifting.
4. Decrease running distances, but increase speed.
5. Maintain a clean diet!
How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
45 seconds for most - I feel I'm recovered by that time and I don't want to waste any time.

I'm currently doing full body workouts twice a week. The emphasis has been upper body, but I do some lower body work as well. I do about 50 sets in 2 hours and alternate between all the muscle groups. For example - I may starts with 4 sets of flat bench, then go to upright rows, etc... I do...
my max bb squat at end of may was 325. now I trian until first week of sept. and test a agian. let's say i do 340, that's an increase of 15 lbs. I'll be taking pledges until then, and then the oney goes to charity.
Hi Chris, thanks the reps and stopping by my journal. I used to love to run, but stopped when I started lifting, I like how you are doing both, that's some serious dedication.
How is the running coming along? Any suggestions for someone who absolutely sucks at it? I don't plan to run long distances, more sprints and short distances even though my main goal is strength. I want an overall fitness.

Yeah< i dunno about the changes. I know they "sat" it is less potent and used only for bronchitis, however- The ingredient and dosage is the same as it was yuears ago. At least it is in Florida and I buy it at the gas station. I think they are just trying to play more mind games. I dont listen to crap like that anymore. Read the label. Ya know?
