When I Started:
Jan, 2005
How I Started:
After gaining about 30+ in my late twenties (from celebrations after softball games, too many pizza dinners and burgers, etc) I wanted to get back to a healthy weight. I started long distance running, and eventually added weight training to the mix. I've lost 25 of those pounds of fat, and am looking to keep going. I want to get into the best shape of my life.
Why I Love It:
Working out is 'me' time -- something that gets harder to find as you get older.
How I Stay Motivated:
Looking good for my wife, and being a healthy role model for my children.

Become physically, financially, and spiritually fit.
Goal (Long):
Fitness to me means more than physical fitness. It involves several areas of our lives; the big three being physical, financial, and spiritual. It's those areas I strive to improve every day!
I did a 30 minute walk with the pup this morning. This afternoon I'll do some sprints and pylometric exercises. I'd like to get a weight vest and some ankle weights to do on these days. But those aren't in my budget right now.
Quick question for you all. In the past couple years, one of...
I don't mind, I like the long distance running but I have bad knees and can't run for a long time, I need to find a good cardio to go along with my circuit training.
hey bud.. not bad.. gaining some more weight and getting stronger.. getting some def in pecs and can see some separation, but need more of a tan to show it.. how are you doing? any progress pics lately?
I love your goal of becoming physically, mentally, spiritually, and financially fit in 2008. That really is the best attitude to have. I'm trying to teach myself that at the moment. The financial thing isn't going to well though. Congrats on your weight loss so far. You are doing great :)
You are awesome! I LOVE your attitude! You are SOOOO right about being fit overall! I wish you continued success! God Bless You and yours!!!! xoxo Tamar

It is worth a try- I will say the 1st day of the detox is the hardest! You may also be pretty tired and/or have a headache...I did. Good luck! I am almost done with the final day, yeah! 16 months huh? Wow- that is a fun age! Congrats on the one on the way- kids are such a blessing! My daughter turned 5 on 2/19. She is such an awesome kid- I couldnt ask for any better!
Well...I am a HUGE fan of jay robb products anyway- they have really clean protein without all the extra crap. The detox has been a challenge- a good one though! My skin looks awesome, I am already down 5 lbs and I no longer have any bloat at all to my stomach.I am on the last day today. Yoga- I kinda mix and match- I check out diff. videos at the video store or library...I have yet to find one I love..
The petting zoo sounds fun! I bet the kiddos enjoyed- how old are they?
Hey! The training is currently non-existant until Wed. I am doing the Jay Robb detox diet... started yesterday and will be done tomorrow (THANK GOD)! I have been low on energy so I am doing some yoga and mild ab work in the meantime.
We didnt end up hiking but we did go exploring and had a lot of fun doing it! What did you guys do this weekend?
