I was always into sports, joined every club available at school like volleyball, athletics, badminton, ping-pong... I got a workout-book from my dad when I was about 13. It was from Reinhard Smolana, a personal trainer of Arnold Schwarzenegger at his begginings in Munich. I got so impressed by seeing the workout-pictures and immediately started to do the home-exercises. With 16 I joined a gym and was a member till 19. Then I moved abroad and did not workout at the gym, but went swimming every day, as I was living at the beach. I had no car, and was also biking every day. But this is not the same, I was kind of unhappy with my body and when I came back to Austria I bought dummbells and stuff and started to workout. I was making a lot of cardio (jogging and blading) outside as well. At this time I asked myself what I really love to do and this was always "training". Then I started to work in a gym as an apprendice, worked there for 2 years and visited school once a week. After that I worked as a fitnessinstructor for another 2 years. Right now I don't work in this industrie, but I know someday soon I will work again in this field.
Why I Love It:
I love it because I've got all my strength from working out! If I can't workout for a few days because of whatever (what usually does not happen because it is simply my fix schedule) I feel depressed and down. So even if everything looks grey and sad, I go to the gym and feel as I can reach all my setted goals in this world!
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated with every improvement of my body. I am my own "observer" and I'm also my best "critc" I scrutinize my body every day. But I don't only stay motivated because of my bodyshape, for me the overall-health is most impotant. To fill fit, awake and with energy - and this comes from working out. It is just usual for me as it is usual to sleep..
BB Accomplishments:
I was Mrs. Fitness Vorarlberg in 2003, but this is not a "big accomplishment" I hope in the near future I'm gonna have more...
your story is warm hearted and inspiring. I'm sorry for the loss of your father, but with that came personal growth. His encouragement from the very beginning led you to be the person you are today, and his gifts to you are still blessing your life! Keep up that bright smile and positive attitude - you'll go where ever you want in life :)
