I have had some family members who have had some health issues, some with heart disease and some with diabetes and other issues so i decided to make the most of my motivation and get started.
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling of getting that extra couple minutes of cardio or that few extra pounds more lifted in my workouts. I am enjoying the energy boost I am getting from the excercise and diet changes i have made.
How I Stay Motivated:
Remembering my goals and how much I am enjoying hitting each level of my goals.
BB Accomplishments:
Making the transformation of the week here on bodybuilding.com

A wise man once told me
"keep doin what you're doin, and you'll keep gettin what you're gettin"
people kept coming up and shouting "FREE WILLY" this is my highest weight ever.230 flabby pounds. I lost some weight after this but only recently did I decide to start getting truly fit when my twin brother had a heart attack.
I would like to gain muscle while getting to a single digit body fat percentage
Goal (Long):
I always wanted to have a body I didnt have to cover up. Growing up I was always too skinny and as an adult I have been somewhat overweight with a highest weight of 230 pounds of flab. I have used various methods to get my weight down around 200-210 but real fitness has always evaded me. In the last few months though I have become dedicated to getting fit and strong. I am in my mid 40's and my specific goals include 17 inch arms while eventually trimming by body fat to %10 or lower. I want to be hard, cut and lean over my entire body. This will be difficult at my age but I've seen too many examples on bodybuilding.com and know that it is possible.
You look like a buffed up version of one of my old senseis...Stephen K. Hayes. He is a Grandmaster of Togakure-Ryu Ninjitsu. It's a compliment.
Have a Great Day !!!

Looking at your '03 picture and then your avatar, it is an amazing turn around for you. Glad to see the effort you have put in has paid off for you. I expect that your transformation will encourage/motivate others who see how far you have come. :)
Hey I wanted to wish everyone on my friends list a very Merry Christmas and you're next on the list! LOL!! So to you and yours I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
You're welcome, brother, and thanks for the reps! I'm retired now, but when I worked, many days I'd have to work lots of overtime, work weekends, etc. Sometimes, my entire routine for the day would just be 5 sets of squats, or whatever. It always worked well, and kept me from "freaking out" over missing training!
What's up my man? Just trying to touch base with everyone on my friends list. Hope all is well in your world and you have a great weekend. I'm making some big changes if ya get a chance stop by and check it out.
