It's exciting seeing the changes. I like lifting more than I like cardio. :)
How I Stay Motivated:
It is no fun starting from the beginning. It is no fun trying to be what you were as far as strenght and speed. If I stay in the gym I will never have to start from the beginning again.

go by "how you look and feel"....the numbers can really mess with your head!
Doing new routines are great...Your body adapts ...so changing things up sparks change again! ...and def measure you food if you think its a little off.
