Background

When I Started: Feb 2007
HOW I STARTED:

I worked out in my early 20s, but did more cardio than weights.After having my 4th daughter, i had gained too much weight and it was a turning point for me when i couldn't fit into any of my clothes and cholesterol was high. It was time to get serious and find a program that made sense. Sick of the yo yo game throughout my life. TIRED OF BEING THE FAT GIRL! I found out about the Body for Life program and it totally changed my life! Now look at me!

WHY I LOVE IT:

It makes me feel good and its ME time. I know I'm doing my body good. I love seeing my muscles grow and the definition getting better and better. I want my kids to be proud of their healthy mommy :) I want to live a long healthy life God willing.

Hi all, i know i haven't posted in quite some time so i thought it would be nice to do it now that i'm 2 weeks away from my 2nd show this year. I'm excited, yet a little nervous about coming in lean enough to be at my very best. Each show is a different experience and i enjoy learning more and more about how my body responds to different kinds of training and foods. I try to keep it interesting and fix my meals a little different keeping in mind the ingredients do not change much. Oh yes, I'm bringing up sprints! Who would have guessed that this former fat girl would finally be doing sprints and actually liking them. I'm the one that was chosen last to be on the team in school as a kid and tried to avoid the gym at all costs as i wasn't athletic. I have just started doing sprints them for almost 2 months and do them about 1-2 times a week. At first, i was really intimidated by them and wanted to say NO WAY, but my competitiveness nature would prevail. I used to try to do them on the treadmill, but who are we kidding. Its NOT THE SAME! Well its been like forever since i blogged. I have been so busy trying to get in all the training and the eating right. I have been weaning myself off of the bad food now and my metabolism is responding once again. Progress is back on folks! I have joined Team Bombshell managed by Shannon and it totally rocks! What a great bunch of fitness minded chicks! The bond there is incredible :) My sister Elsa and I went to one of her camps this year in July and boy what a weekend!
