When I Started:
Aug, 2003
How I Started:
Basically, I didn't want to gain the "freshman 15" when I entered college, so I started working out. I became more interested in bodybuilding, but never had enough courage to get up on stage. My boss at the gym I used to work at is a WNBF pro, and he convinced me to compete. Now I'm hooked!
Why I Love It:
It gives me a real sense of accomplishment and I feel amazing after I finish a really great workout.
How I Stay Motivated:
Seeing results that I am working for and with the support from my friends and family.
BB Accomplishments:
5th Place Collegiate Division - NANBF Natural Southern States Classic 2008, Liberty MO

My goal is to gain some serious muscle mass and, if all goes well, compete in the 2009 Kansas City Gold's Classic, 2010 Natural Southern States Classic, and 2010 Natural Iowa/Central Midwest Championships.
Goal (Long):
After competing in my first contest in April 2008, I realized I needed to get a lot bigger. I know that it's not all about who is the biggest and posing, symmetry, definition, etc, play a big part too, but having bigger muscles never hurt. I took home the 5th place trophy in the collegiate division, but I don't think I would have stood a chance if I entered the open division. My plan is to compete in the 2009 Kansas City Gold's Classic, 2010 Natural Southern States Classic, and 2010 Natural Iowa/Central Midwest Championships!
I'm not sure I want to get that big, so I might retire from comp's, I'm going to try and cut down quite a bit in about 3 weeks. Just trying to stay in shape for now. You should definitely do novice too, its always worth a shot.
I would have won overall, but the winner was 31 and had about 10 years on me. I'm not sure about more contest because I graduate in December and I would compete in open next and I'm not big enough yet. How's your training going?
I'm supposed to go see fireworks, but am pretty sure I'll back out of that because I don't have any desire to see person who invited me, and I'm not going alone! What about yourself?!
I wish I could really remember. I was introduced to the sport by Beverly International's magazines, but what made me decide to do it?! I wish I could remember. It was kinda one of those situations where one thing led to another, next thing ya know, I'm 7 weeks out from being on that stage!! What about yourself?!
Aww.. thank you so much for the kind words =] Yes, dieting and going to school IS difficult, all the lugging around of protein powders and chicken breasts can get to ya. When is your next competition?!
Hey! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and that your week's off to a great start =] I can't remember if I got back to you on your question or not, but the Cardinal Classic is on the 18th of October. Yay for being a LiL under 8 weeks out!!
