I woke up June 1, 2007 and for some reason just decided that this was the day to start to get back into shape and get healthy again. I don't know what my body fat was when I started, but am sure it was pretty bad!
Why I Love It:
I love the burn when working-out, I love feeling better about myself, having more confidence, knowing I am setting a good example for my kids and just being good to myself
How I Stay Motivated:
Having positive feed-back from those around me and for me there is nothing like an iPod full of good tunes to keep me moving through a routine
BB Accomplishments:
I went from 176 pounds of fat to 130 pounds of muscle and am in the best shape of my life and am going to continue to set goals and achieve them one by one!

Ok so not really a progress pic, but you can still see definition in my chest and arms, so what the hell?
As I approach 40, I want to be in the absolute best shape when I hit this milestone. I also want, if even for a day, a 6pack for my abs!
On March 3rd,2008 I entered a body composition contest/challenge at my local small gym. Since I had already lost 40 pounds, I didn't want to go in the weight loss part as I knew I would have little left to lose but wanted to lose fat and gain muscle. When I was measured for Body Fat on this date with the calipers, taking into account me height, weight and age, my Body Fat findings were 13%. I was just re-measured as an interim measurement to see how I was coming along and found out I am now down to 10% Body Fat! I was very pleased with this and with a few weeks left to go (June 13th end date) I am hoping to refine myself a little more as I would like to win this contest! I am not interested in the bragging rights or trophy, but the money prize! I have the money ear-marked for a new tattoo if I win-my reward for myself!
What celebrity body would you most like to have? Why?
Really, any of the FAME fitness models or women atheletes who are natural. I would love to have the well rounded chisled look of these women with abs to kill for!

30 seconds or so because that is enough to recoup and still challenge my msucles to fatigue
Sorry it took so long to respond back! I took some time off from the site and I figure now I'll post once a week or so, just to keep myself honest and, of course, say hi to my Bodyspace friends!

I need to change. I am very uncomfortable and I don't want to live life this way. So I will force myself to be good. It won't be easy at first, but I know I need to do it. And I know it will feel good when I stick with it. How is life treating you?
Might start out a bit slow, but working on getting back on track and getting the excess weight back off. It helps that the 3 kids are back to school and now I can get back into routines. Have to be up early every morning and that helps me to get my days started right.
Hi Cheryl! I have had a busy summer. Some fun but a bit depressing too. Ate too much, gained weight back, and having a lot of problems with my dog who is only 4 yrs. old. Not sure if she will straighten out her or not. Anyway, doing a reset today.
Thanks for your comments. Yeah, I got some sticks from him but they were only 30 spf. So gonna have to hunt for better ones. He advised 50 if I find it. When am I gonna see your tats? Mine were'nt too bad yesterday, just a little bit of blood in the yellow. He will do any touchups needed for free. So far it looks pretty good though. Real happy with his art work. He hand drew the branch and flowers on my back. Wish I was that talented.

Okay....I do remember the bodycomp thing (funny where our brain goes with the word competition, eh?). I'm finishing up my designation for Holistic Nutritionist (finally I'll make money, instead of paying for the education, lol). Hey Cheryl! I wasn't even thinking....I didn't know you were competing. That's awesome!!! Wherever you placed....you did it! The experience in itself would make it worth it, and I'm sure you met some terrific people. I'm just finishing up school so between the overwhelming crapload of stuff I need to finish, soccer (me and my oldest) and it being Father's Day, it just was swamped...too bad, I would've loved to root for you. I was 141 in September and lost down to 116 in Dec. That's when I saw abs!I went through a mini "bulk" to add muscle and got as high as 124. I'm sitting at 120 now. The diet was key! How's the hand...BTW?
