When I Started:
Feb, 2003
How I Started:
The very first time I set foot into a gym was:
February 2003: Worked out for about a year. Was really an amateur at it, but learned a lot from other body builders & trainers.
February 2004-July 2005: Stopped completely. (Life happened)
August 2005-December 2005: Went at it again.
January-December 2006: Off and on the whole year. (got lazy and lost motivation)
January-July 2007: Used trial and error trying to find out what worked for my body type. Did a lot of studying & reading during this time.
August 2007: Made a conscious decision to do whatever it takes to reach my physical goals, and I've been at it since then.
It's been a work in progress - but there is nothing more fulfilling than to accomplish goals and conquer your fears and inhibitions - I'm in it for the long haul this time!
Why I Love It:
1. ALTHOUGH THERE IS MUCH PAIN ASSOCIATED WITH GROWTH - (Spiritually & Physically)- I LOVE THE OUTCOME!
2. I want to live a life of being healthy & allowing it to show physically.
3. It gives indescribable confidence.
How I Stay Motivated:
By staring at the person and physique I see in the mirror everyday and not enjoying what I see. . .yet!
BB Accomplishments:
I have dropped from 227lbs to 188lbs.
But the best is yet to come. . .
Never be content with where you are.. or you will lose the inspiration for where you could be!
Goal (Long):
I used to be a thin kid, but somewhere along the lines of teenage years I got chunky. I would most of all like to lose my love handles completely and shed the fat to reveal the muscle. This is all a process that requires commitment, dedication and time all of which I've struggled with for years. I am finally fed up and I want a healthier, stronger and better way of physical living and however long that takes. . . I'm here for the long haul.
Just take the time to look at his physique. Do I really need to tell you why he is inspiring? I hope to be in this type of physical dominance when I reach that age... (I've got 2yrs)
Just to see the progress that he has made in 2yrs is absolutely amazing. Knowing my background with weight issues and how long it has taken me to get where I am and to see someone close to my age doing the same thing is more than inspiring... it's encouraging beyond measure. The point is that not only do you just lose the weight for yourself... but you help as many as possible along the way. That's what life is... helping others as you gain wisdom yourself.
I was working out for a competition that was going to take place on June 13th. Well about midway the competition deadline I realized that I could not afford the dieting (crazy I know) but eating 6-8 times a day and running out of food in 2-3 days began to be a bit expensive for a...
