When I Started:
Nov, 2004
How I Started:
I started working out, after picking up a copy of Men's Fitness back in Fall of 2004. I never thought about lifting before that, I never read a fitness magazine before that. It honestly has changed my life.
Why I Love It:
I honestly don't know why, I just do. You wouldn't expect it, since I have a runner's body, and before late 2004, I never lifted weights. I was always the runt of the groups, and had no intention of lifting.
How I Stay Motivated:
I am always trying to reach my goals. I love lifting, so it is easy to stay motivated. Now cardio....that is hard to get motivated for.
BB Accomplishments:
My personal accomplishments were getting my skinny frame over 180lbs two separate times (after starting around 160-165lbs). Now my new goal is nearing, but alot harder than I thought, and it is to get to 5% body fat without fat burners, while not losing all of my muscle.

Progress Pictures

This was the first progress photo. It was right after I quit my cut. I plateaued in my gains/fat loss so after a hiatus from any real diet (a friend came to town) I started a bulk). I'm about 165lbs here, bodyfat is under 10% but not positive on the exact amount. I'd guess 8-9%.
Getting back to form. First couple times back in the gym were hell...numbers were down, conditioning was down. it is hard to get back on my diet plan. Still want to cheat, and also going off with friends more, which definitely promotes cheating.
My goals change regularly. As I hit a new one, I pick something else.
Goal (Long):
I plateaued in my quest to get to 5% body fat without fat burners. Going to bulk a bit, then try another cut, to see if I can't make better progress then.
In each workout, I have sets with 2-4 reps to help boost my strength and I also put some in the 8-12 range to help with hypertrophy.

How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
For most exercises, I use as little rest as possible. A max of 15 seconds. For my olympic lifts, I'll go up to 1 or 1 1/2 minutes. I like to keep my intensity up, for overall fitness health.

What traps workout has worked best for you?
Doing dead lifts and muscle cleans; your traps grow good.
I put my workout on my thread and my most recent day in the gym up there too so you can compare my plan with what I actually am able to achieve. Thanks for asking :)
hey bro new pics are up for me ! let me know what you think. my posture is off because of my leg rehab is still coming along . hope you are well .. BTW these pics are after 1 month of moderate lifting a few missed diet days and lifts
awesome progress man . add me to your friends list if you would. your progress is something i want to follow and emulate . i welcome and critique or tips you have I can also be reached at doobzkhq@gmail.com.. you have the abs and chest I want for me .. what did you do?
Hey Chaz, I went home this past week, so I took a week off. Just got back a little while ago. The previous few weeks were disappointing. I was pretty tired and didn't make much progress. Hope to get back at it this week and make up for those lousy sessions. How's everything with you?
Some progress but no big progress. I actually took a week vacation then when I came back stayed lazy for another week.. but it's over, time to get back to it :) I didn't do half bad on my "vacation." I gained a lb.
Go raibh maith agat(thanks). The GVT is for about a month or so only, depending on how you tolerate ultra high volume, and whether it is every 5 days or so or whether you hit it once per week. Alternating it with the low rep strength/power work that is so less demanding volume wise sounds good. Best of luck. Don't forget to take extra day(s) rest when necessary.
Well, nothing new for me really. I've just been working and going to the gym. That takes up most of my time. And I'm starting to see results (in numbers, for now, anyway). :-) It's awesome!
Just trying to give back, had to figure it out by myself and a few mags for the first few years, lol.
Solid advice on your end too...yeah, had one bad day once though, let myself get pissed, lol, tried not to let it happen again though, very unproductive...
I have low reps cause I suck at life, lol, who knows, just started really posting lately, not really sure how it works, been on forum.animalpak.com for the last year or so...this is a little more open here, peace...
