When I Started:
Feb, 2007
How I Started:
I was picked for a healthy living body challenge. (kinda like the biggest loser but not really!) Now I live, eat and breathe body building!! It's great!
Before the challenge I had a friend a very close friend we were like sisters and she was 344lbs and started to develop diabetes and high blood pressure at the age of 29 and she wouldn't take care of herself!! We argued about it all the time and finally she kept ending up in the er b/c she wouldn't take care of herself and I told her one night at our favorite resteraunt that I could not sit back and watch her kill herself b/c I loved her so much whether she did or not!! she quit speaking to me after that. About 3 months later she ended up pregnant and had just about every complication you could have. after her c-section the baby was put in children's hospital with rsv. for about the first week of its life. He came home on christmas eve and by the 28th she was having trouble breathing, she went to the er and died twice, they put her on a ventilator and sent her to vanderbilt that was 2 yrs ago dec. She is 30 yrs old, brain dead in a nursing home and hasnt seen the child that she wanted sooooo badly b/c she wouldn't listen to her body!!
Right then I decided that I wasn't going to end up like her and I have made tremendous strides in my efforts! When i started all this it was I need to lose the weight. I was 286lbs and in a size 30!! here I am Bodybuilding, 40 lbs lighter and a hell of a lot stronger and in a size 22!! That is 5 dress sizes!!! I still have a ways to go but I can do it and I know I can!
I am 1/3 of the way through my personal trainer certification course and am ready to take on the world!!
Why I Love It:
I love the results of course but that rush you get from lifting and looking better is just awesome!
I feel better and I feel like I can help others to acheive what they want in their personal fitness life. It's addictive and there are worse things to be addicted to!
How I Stay Motivated:
I have a picture of a friend of mine up that had weight issues all her adult life and now she is brain dead in a nursing home at the age of 30. That is a whole other story. I have to do this I want to be healthy and stay that way and hopefully I can pass it on to others.
BB Accomplishments:
I have dropped 4 dress sizes and I can leg press 500lbs!!
To me thats major! I want to eventually be able to compete but am still afraid that is an unattainable goal for myself! (even though I may not feel that way tomorrow)
My goal over all is to lose the fat and gain the muscle!!
Goal (Long):
I want to lose down to atleast 180lbs by the end of january 2008! I want to drop my body fat another 20% or so by then also. I want to be able to be a fitness trainer and maybe compete. I have gained so much self confidence over the past few months that I really think, I know that I can do this!
Hi there everyone!! I am here to say hello and feel free to give tips and suggestions to me. I am willing to learn and become! I have done soooo very well in the past few months and I no have such high goals that I am a little nervous to even be here! I Would love to train people and...
